Thats what I thought too. Id much rather have comms than a stupid flexy thing on my face.
On another note, those CF helmets look f**kin stupid. I mean yes Im supposed to care about how it preforms and not looks but come on. At least one of those testers had to think "Gee, I look like a f**kin idiot with this on. Other nations will laugh at us when we show up to battle. This thing by my chin isnt going to do sh*t, and I have to mount my 552 ON ITS F**KING SIDE WITH A CHUNK OF METAL!!!!" |

Your comms runs underneath.
Ounce for ounce I'd rather have it than not. Ever notice how soldiers are looking more and more like storm troopers?

Yeah, I don't see this being as useful as a normal mesh mask in airsoft -- namely because this one has a huge opening in the middle for BBs to greet your teeth. Still a cool concept though.

DIY mesh across the opening would look awesome IMO.

I'd build in a mesh insert for across the opening. should be a great way to keep ventilation.
Now for an Airsoft version

From what I've seen in pictures you can get good cheek weld. MilitaryMorons confirms this. But what I don't know about is can googles fit with it. All pics I've scene are with ballistic glasses. Plus I'm not sure about a china clone model. I think it wouldn't follow the shape well and be a very general outline. Crye worked hard to get a specific shape to allow for cheek weld.

They are designed to fit gogles. Just check the videos and photos... On the very first page of this thread you see it.

Well they show goggles in the video on here.
And the reason you get a cheek well has nothing to do with the shape. they flex...
