I've owned three, the CA, the TM A1 and the TM HC. I -ADORE- the new version (HC) but do admit the body is a little creakier than the CA. Take your pick, but yea, stay away from JG.
If the HC's are available in Canada yet, pick one of those up. If not... maybe contact someone who lives in Japan that happens to export items such as these . . .

it's not the pins that break on the augs, it's the top of the grip its self

Fair enough. I couldn't remember if it was the handle or the pin that snapped.. I've heard from several sources though that the CA one is more sturdy than the TM.

TM AUG A2 already upgrade with steel gears, bushings and 350fps spring. Im thinking of Buying that the reviews i have read are good.

if you buy mine, the handle already has the reinforced part and two batteries plus a side rail
nunchuk batteries fit if they're like that

ya the pot metal the TM handle uses is pretty much shit. I broke 2 already. They were fine when i was playing at urban fields like Flagraiders, where its out in the open with buildings. Once i move to my new field, TFS, its all woods play and i broke 2 handles right away. It likes getting caught on branches.
For batteries, the back is only 10.8cm X 4.6cm X 3.3cm. I have the old NiCad Block batteries. But one just died (8 yrs old) and i dont feel right running one battery, so im going to be picking up a set of Lipo.

I remember someone complaining once about the mag release on the AUG, saying that it makes mag changes a bitch, but I forget who it was. Watch this video and tell me you can't do a fast mag change with an AUG. You may need to add a little weight to your airsoft mags inside the base plate to make sure they drop but it works for me.

And yeah, I never really found it difficult to do reloads with the AUG. Just make sure that the screw by the magwell isn't too tight, or else the mag won't drop out (and you'll have to press really hard on the release). Last edited by EdisLeado; February 16th, 2012 at 03:07.. |
