This is my request as a driver for anyone hitching rides.

when riding in someone else's car, have garbage bags for your dirty gear and a change of clothes when you leave the game. Don't stink up your ride's ride. Take your garbage with you when you leave, gas money, offer coffee, anything.

As a driver I understand student budgets, so be up front with the driver on what you can offer. You might be surprised that the driver just says you're even with a coffee or something.

After a long game, a little McDonalds, Tim Hortons Coffee or whatever is just as good as gas

Handjobs are also good after a long game day but that's more of a job for my girlfriend.

One thing I sometimes do is bring a towel with me after the game to sit on (as well as a change of clothes) just to keep any dirt you may pickup off the seats as much as possible. I also bring a pair of running shoes (and a plastic bag for my boots) to change into to keep my rides car clean after the game. It's all about respecting your rides car and keeping them happy or you may not be able to get a ride in the future.

2) include spare foot wear and a bag to put dirty/wet clothesand boots
5) bringing snacks to share is a nicer gesture then only bringing enough for yourself. it sucks watching your passenger eat. school yard sharing yadda yadda. (drivers can often run out of time or forget to pack a snack)
6) always offer to compensate for gas money. they may not always accept cash but it should be offered or an option to buy them food. Most will happily take a coffee on the way out and one on the way back

Have respect for the other guys shit is a BIG one for me. I used to carpool with a guy to and from work and every day he would leave his Timmies garbage in the box of my truck or the back seat. Always made a mess and left grease stains that took 2 bottles of cleaner to get out and was never ready on time. Maybe its just me but I fucking hate it when somebody hitching a ride with me adjust the climate control or the radio station. I only listen to country buddy deal with it! lol

I mounted all that shit to the car too. Now my car can see in the dark.

Side note: The only pet peeve I had, was when people would leave garbage in my car.

Amen to that!

Most of the people i drive to games are teammates so i dont really care about gas money but garbage left in my vehicles pisses me off.

Some people don't require cars. These guns are far cheaper than a automobile. Plus add cost of maintenance not to mention gas.
