Yep, the stock's a McMillan A-5. I had one on my Remington 700 F-class rifle. Gorgeous piece, although at $1,000 CAD kinda hard to swallow unless you're really serious.
The camo is injection moulded into the fiberglass at the factory, it's not painted. You can cut a chunk out of the stock with a knife and it will still have the same camo pattern. You won't be able to get a Timberwolf for a while though even if you have the cash. PGW's busy filling the CF order and a few others, and national defense takes priority (and rightly so). |

Yeah I totally dig our new sniper rifle I'd love to pick one up. I'm still in love with the M700/M40-A1/M40-A3 though.... damn sexy guns, and next on my list of real steel to purchase. Final goal is basically a complete M40 conversion (read: McMillian stock, and US Optics scope) However, since the scope alone costs more than the rifle, methinks that's gonna take a little bit.

Well, the G11 isn't really a sniper rifle, but I like it nontheless.
Plus, the FA-MAS in Sniper configuration isn't bad, either.

Actually, what I'd like to see in a sniper rifle is just a basic design, such as a 700 action, but with all the attention instead going into the rifle's performance(accuracy over long distances), consistency(accuracy over long distances), and durability. Not just fps, but a fundamentally sound platform for sniping.
Too many guns are made just to have this or that model out there to take your money, when the gun itself sucks on the field. If I'm going to snipe, I'd rather have a gun that looks like granpappy's hunting rifle -but is a performer, than some 'Blaser' looking gucci gun that gives very little actual performance gain over an aeg, yet is bolt action. An inaccurate 500fps is still inaccurate, and can't really be called a sniper rifle. If I could have that and have it look like the Timberwolf, all the better.

Dammit Skruface, get out of my brain. It's already crowded in there.
Yes, a classic, closely followed by the Mauser of the same vintage. I'd also be curious about a Moisin Nagant sniper. |
