When im visiting in Toronto I will most likely visit TTAC games and play alittle myself.

I might as well bring a mouthgaurd to all games from now on.

I wear a mouthguard, and if you're you're used to one being in your mouth it's no problem for talking. I've played hockey almost all my life so it's no problem for me to talk with them. I also wear a fleece balaclava too, helps from getting bleeders.

Want to protect your face? Wear a paintball mask. That is mandatory at most places anyway.
The rest? Up to you. Relax, injuries are rare if you dont act like a fool and wear the right gear.

I've heard of goggles being mandatory but not masks...but I believe you.

Not airsoft, but a friend of mine was playing pball with his buddies on a farm, and one guy got a tree branch though his leg. Docs said it was really close to an artery.

How do you get stuff piercing through your body? especially branches people may need to start wearing eye glasses for sight.

The Best Protection

The best way to keep you face covered is with your gun. Keep it high and ready and it will naturally cover about 90 degrees (by that I mean it will block anything inbound from the right if you shoot righty)

Of course, if you get shot from the other 90 degrees...you best keep your mouth closed and take it on the lip..

Fall?
I've had a couple closed call like that. Slipped and felt a couple inches from a sharp (broken that way) branch pointing up.

I haven't really seen any injuries per say caused by BB's hitting people. I have seen slips, trips and falls that have hurt people good. In terms of painful shots? I got a mouthfull of full auto glory at Sgt. Splatters last year. Made my tongue and nice, big and poofy with a bloody welt, and I think I swallowed a bb or two. Thank god there was no teeth hit. (It serves me right for going nuts and yelling whislt charging with a full auto glock 18c)
