Out of curiousity, i thought that ACU was a replacement for woodland.... do they use it as opposed to tri-colour for issue too, or is the woodland idea wrong?

Yea, its a universal camo, an replaces both BDU/DCU. But since it's kinda shitty, an not as strong as the BDU/DCUs some troops still use it. I've seen guys wear DCU pants an ACU shirt. A lot of units in the 82nd Airborne still wear BDUs when out training, since its stronger than ACU.
For ammo pouches, utility pouches etc for the IBA, go with either a a mix of ALICE an MOLLE/SDS pouches, or Tactical Tailer, etc And a camelbak. Helmet can either be a MICH or PASGT. When you are old enough to buy a airsoft gun, get either a M16A2 M16A4 M4 M203 if you wanna go for a Grenadier set up RAS handguards are good to have too For attachments like PEQ2, scopes, red dot sight, etc get what you want, since a lot of that stuff is issued, an most people buy their own kit if they weren't issued. If you got a lot of money to spend, you can go with a M249. |

The stiching for the reinforced ass isn't that strong on the ACU bottoms I've read they split while in use over in the sandbox. I've only scrimished with the pants the stiching seems to several weak points.

Most Marines and Infantry are just getting their BDU's replaced with the Desert Marpart, not ACU, are they not? And some still use the PAGST helmets I believe, not sure if it's all been phased through though. My info could be outdated, just from what I read in a article in Popular Mechanics a couple months back about their new stuff.

Contrary to regulations. He might as well be wearing it upside down, for how serious they take it. I just find it odd.
