I was saying, even if its easier to bring guns into the United States, and even if it were possible for us to bring our stuff back into Canada, would we not have to paint our barrels orange in order to play on American fields?

Please read my post above about bringing them back. YOU CAN"T AT ALL. Sorry for the uncontrollable use of the shift button there, but basically that's what I'm saying. Customs couldn't give a rat's ass about you taking it out of Canada, but you can bet they'll be all over you like cops at a doughnut shop robbery if you try to bring it back in.
They don't care about where or when you bought it, and what your use is for it. You won't have a license to import them, so you can't bring it back with you. sorry to be blunt about it, but that's all there is to this story.

Yes.. Valkyrie... the answer to your question is yes... you WOULD have to paint your barrel tip orange to make it legal in the States if you were to take it there...
Yes. Mcguyver I think he understood that you were saying you couldn't bring it back, but Valkryie's question was different. He was asking about us bringing them across TO the States, just forget about bringing them back for a second, and think about taking one from Canada to the U.S. you'd have to meet their standards on the gun and paint the barrel tip, regardless of whether or not you planned to bring it back. |

Ok, I see. Just begs the question: Why would you take it there if you can't bring it back?
Unless you're moving there to live for awhile?

Yeah, I wouldn't try to get across the border nowadays with something that even remotely looks like a firearm. Last summer, I came back from a trip to San Diego and had my car RAPED at the border for no apparent reason. No airsoft, no drugs, no tobacco, no booze... they just felt like holding us up after a long ass redeye flight across the country. (We flew out of the Bangor airport, in case you were wondering). Them border patrol guys don't mess around. I wouldn't even THINK about it. Rhetorical question or not... they'll rape your car. |

Its funny, I've gotten away with so much shit going through the border. Though the only time I actually "lied" was when we were on a camping trip and they told us we were not allowed to take Canadian meat across the border so we were to empty our food barrels and "throw out!" any meat. I had all sorts of fucking moose and vincent that I'd just got from the previous hunting season and I wasn't throwning it out. So as the officer came up and asked me to open mine and remove any meat products, I responded before anyone in my group could say anything... "Sorry ma'am, but our group is all vegetarian, thats why were all together." And since it was all packed at the bottom the dog never smelt it...

Maybe it's a good thing for Dracheous that he did lie, or the outcome might have been worse for him.
