im gonna suggest that you cut up an old Bolle lens or something storong and make a protective cover for the actual lens itself in case of stray BB's. Wouldnt be good to spend all that cash and have it get shot on day 1.

my archos has a helmet cam accessory that records at DVD resolution . the best thing is that it fits into a PEG laser/battery box perfectly. i just use a thick piece of plexiglass in front of the lens. plus, the added "cool" effect of having a kill-cam on your gun is just sweet.

We changed servers - this should now work
http://www.phpbbserver.com/blackeagl...rum=blackeagle One thing to consider is it will make your life alot easier if your recorder accepts LANC and you get a remote LANC controller for your camera. If its buried in foam in a buttpack like mine or on your back anywhere it is almost a necessity unless you want to depend on someone else that knows what they are doing 100% of the time you want to start/stop recording. The tradeoff to the LANC remote is that your recorder can be placed where you can get to it easily yourself but will probably be exposed to more trauma on your chest, side or front beltline, etc. Also you will be recording everything till the tape runs out = alot of wasted tape, battery power and editing. The place we bought our cams from sells a seriously strong housing with lens protector for cheap if you get the package. Last edited by thxthx; November 29th, 2006 at 16:36.. |

Just an FYI. Only difference between the Archos 604's and the 500's is that the 500's has a built in audio recorder (ie: mic). Otherwise, they're the same thing. I'd say, go with whatever is cheaper. The 604 does apparently have easier to use buttons also.
