Methinks Pliskin is mistyaken. In fa ct, they do use the same gear over and over. What differentates them, and Special Forces in general from the legs is that the units can spec pretty much whatever they want for gear. Typically, each member will have multiple rigs that they will tailor to certain mission tyoes. But to say that it varies every time shows that you have no idea what you are talking about, Pliskin.
Others here have already posted links to retailers, so I see no need to. If you really want to get some good pics, and a good idea of what is in use check out militaryphotos.net. |

Don't know about seals, but from my research I was doing for my next armalite project there COULD be some truth to this. However, he may be confusing it for Navy EOD though. I also believe it's a weapons thing, not so much for gear.
Apparently Navy EOD CQB-Rs are configured slightly differently depending on the coast, don't know why exactly. |

I started SOE out of my garage and all I did those 1st few years a decade ago was seal stuff. Thats why my stuff was so big in Japan. I was doing 2.5 million a years and at that point we where not doing as much seal stuff as in the beginning. Now I am back to a smaller scale and do a lot of custom work and we work one on one with the frogs and do a lot of custom work for them.
