That would be a good thing Skruface, and would resolve so much. It's been proposed and discussed but under-aged players complained.

still, you all up north seem to have way more chicks than we have playing here in the states....we're quite jealous!

every time a carload of canadian players stop by my store there's one or two hot chicks in the mix. i've seen more girls from your country in the store shopping than we have total; we've got 504 players in our group and maybe 10 of them are girls....not a pleasant ratio.

On the tech standpoint, a new projectile that can fly further, faster, with less deviation, and most importantly, impart less energy to the target while doing so.

Also, some way to get rid of that awful whir/whine that AEGs make...

I'm pretty sure that under-agers complaining on ASC has nothing to do with how airsoft is dealt with in Ottawa. Heck, under-agers complaining about age verification here don't even get them anywhere. You might be thinking of making the forum 18+ only.

That too has been proposed, to much complaining that we were forcing under-18 to read instead of posting.

I'd like to see an airsoft gun that has a recoil system built in. Not like a bolt that kicks back, but a gun where you can't just fire full-auto and hit everything you would normally hit. Then, we could take advantage of semi-auto, a very under-used thing in airsoft.

You would have the bolt rocking back, and then you would some sort of mechanism built to work with the gearbox that would force a heavy piece of metal back to the stock.
I'd also like to see longer ranged guns, but I don't know how we would fix that without drastically changing the bbs and fps on guns.

Yes, but it doesn't come close to the recoil of a real AR-15 chambered with the 5.56x45mm or .223 round. If airsoft companies are trying to make their guns to simulate real ones, why not add realistic recoil. Higher recoil for 7.62 guns, like aks and g3s. This would add so much intensity to airsoft. Instead of hearing the high pitch screeches of AEGs, you would hear "Tac tac tac" instead of " WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" This would add realism, then companies can work on the gun sounds. Airsoft is a new sport, give companies time, and these things will improve.

Airsoft is over 20 years old, kiddo.

The technology exists, it just cost too much. Much more than the weekend skirmisher plans to spend. And if the interest isn't there, large companies (TM, CA, GG, GP) can't justify building these custom guns.

Look at escort, LA Studios, and TK. Apparently the Escort ARs rival .223 recoil.

I get what you're saying though. But this isn't WW2 or VN anymore.

Play milsim games with realcap mag loads and you'll see plenty of semi auto action.

Edit: actually where I'd like to see that is on M249s and other LMG/GPMGs; lacking any additional power you'd at least get a more visceral experience from shooting it. And while in it's stock form it's not skirmishable, the KWC Mini Uzi (CO2) has a really heavy bolt and is probably as close to shooting an automatic gun as you can get with an internally-powered airsoft gun (ie. not using an external gas rig setup)

And 20 years is old? Nope. I guess I didn't search enough. Maybe they should add just a bit of recoil, so that won't affect the cost. That stuff is expensive now because few companies make it. Just look at EBR kits. If these things were more mainstream, they the price would go down a bit.
