I guess that the bottom line is that CA is a very hit and miss company. The following are the CA guns that I've owned and their associated problems (if any).

CA M15 RIS - Piston head was undersized/deformed and couldn't get a proper seal. Had to replace the piston head the day I bought it.

CA M249 MK2 - This is the only one that I've had that never broke. Mind you, I only put about 3k rounds through it.

CA G36E - Came with a bent outer barrel so Ken replaced it. The next one I got, the gearbox seized up on the first shot. Luckily Ken replaced it again. Finally, the piston head shattered into a million pieces in less than 300 rounds. I sold the gun a few days later after I replaced the piston head.

CA G36K - The anti reversal latch snapped in two in less than 1k shots.

CA SCAR L - The tappet plate broke in less than 100 shots.

Another CA SCAR L - The motor stripped in about 1k shots.

Some of the above are obviously easy fixes, but there should be enough quality in a gun to get through at least a single bag of BB's...

I guess I'm a lucky one when it comes to both CA and G&P. Both tappet plates are still in tact in mine.

Mine has been chewing though the batteries at twice the rate I'm used to, but everything else is ok. I've gamed it 4 times now and run over 2000 bb's through it.

I figure it will fail sometime, but so far so good.

You would think that after all this time making AEG's, CA could get their act together. I guess al the internal problems is why have always stayed away from them. I wonder when TM will be getting round to making the SCAR. Thanks for all the feedback, guys.
