yea, you gotta remember, they're more professional than you are and have a lot more experience than you. Take the advice being given for the love of god, or else you're going to be shunned from this community. If you don't listen to simple advice about your gun, how are you going to act on the field?

whoa whoa whoa dudes. let's not let this get out of hand.
pick up one of these babies if you want to install bushings, it makes sure you've got a good straight fit for proper gear alignment.

hmmm i wish i had that bushing pusher :P. Everything seems to be alright because the bushings were seated properly after i let it get to room temp. And i know the guys on Arnies have a lot more experience then me, thats why i was talking to them

If so why?

no the purpose of upgrading my gun is so that i have better range/accuracy so i will have a bit better chance of hitting people lol. plus the fps before the upgrade was probably close to 250-270 fps because its an old used gun

Here's a better idea to get better range and accuracy:

get a better gun platform.

How well did it shoot before you upgraded it? Did you even game with it? My experiance with my MAS (and I know at least one other on the board has had similar findings) is that the gun is insainly accurate for it's size. I've said before and I'll say it again: I've hit targets farther away with my midly upgraded MAS (120%, 330fps, 472mm barrel, 6.08) than I have with my tightbore G36 (315fps, 496mm barrel, 6.04). Upgrading the gun doesn't make the shooter any better. But whatever

yea I've gamed with it, im not that experienced but the range was fairly bad on it. Its max distance would be something around 50-60 feet and thats lobbing it. It was shooting slower then my friends crappy canadian tire gun :P his would go into a card board box where as mine would bounce off of it:P I found it to be fairly accurate for short range and cqb but anything out side of cqb and its performance would go to poop :P How old is your famas?

WTF? That sounds like you're using a half-dead 7.2v Ni-Cad battery.

Not sure exactly how old my MAS is, I got it used as well. It has a lot of wear on it, been fairly heavily gamed but it performs great.

Doubtful. As long as the spring was unwound it should be fine. Was any work done on the gun before you got it?
