Ever since ive learned about airsoft....6 years ago I think, ive wanted this gun. Well acctually I wanted the 551. But the battery size and 3 round burst kept me away. I like the longer length of the 551 but the 552 is full auto. Also, I hate the dummy rounds on the mag of the 552....ugh. Since im in the market for a 2nd gun though, im really giving the 552 some serious thought, if I can buy mags without the dummy rounds it would make the decision easier...and not high caps.

Doesn't MAG make SIG makes that don't have dummy rounds in them?

Why wouldn't you want 3 round bursts instead of full auto? You'd save money on BB's and wouldn't have to worry so much about emptying all your clips fast.

Well, I always wanted a full auto as my first Aeg. Mission accomplished. But I would definatly get myself a 551 now if I could find one in stock. A&A has 2 552's in stock and its a nice looking gun, just shorter and ugly mag. Battery still has me hesitating cause I dont like external bags, and I wanted it for a backup/loaner gun. But dont want to buy 2 batteries or more for one day of play.

Not to mention that the 551 has that problem with the bursting chip that needs to be fixed.

The TM SIG 551 has been discontinued for like.... 7 years now. Ive only seen 2 pics of some one actualy owning one. And if you use 8.4V bats, you should not have a problem with the burst chip (if you can find a 551 or 550).
Remember, batteries have gone a LONG way in the last 6 years. From the biggest being 600mAH, to todays 1700mAH. Two lasts you more then a whole day of scirm.

Oh yeah, that reminds me. How long has the 552 been in production?

Ok I have owned 1-552 and played with another... so here is my reviews... lets just say I have now 3 mp5s and a M4...... the 552 is a nice gun but... the foregrip does break, and it's because of the battery, trying to get it in is a tough fit! 2nd finding aftermarket parts is hard... rails etc.... so all in all I didn't like them...

If this thing is so great, then why do most people sell theirs?

People want to try different guns, want different accessories, or want a change. It's not that uncommon.

I take it no one is interested in trading their 552 for a P-90?

FA-MAS? No thanks. I'd take the P-90 over it any day.
