I can imagine it would perform much like an M14 you could run around with a bit more than your average marksman's rifle. Like picking up an M4 over an M16, or something similar.

I have an upgraded Marui M14 with over 12000 rounds through it. A stock TM M14 can hit a man sized target at 150 feet.

If you get a TM M14, you will be happy

I have one as well i. Like others have said, it is probably one of the best stock guns out there, a very solid and durable gun. However, this sucker is heavy. With a battery, mag and a aimpoint, this sucker weighs in about 10-11 pounds. Which is 1-2 pounds heavier than my full metal M16A4. Also the gun is also quite long. Here are pics of my M14 and other rifles for comparison.

The M14 is a kickass gun. I could not imagine really using anything else on an outdoor field. Right out of the box shoots like a dream with great distance. Only thing is when you start adding on accessories (scope, ris kit, bipod) it's heavier then a bitch. Though if you ever put an EBR kit on it it's even more heavier but goddamn too sexy. Also if you put the M14 silencer on it without shortening the barrel it turns into a 5 foot long gun.

I don't plan on really doing anything to the M14... I think it is sexy the way it is. Maybe a scope... maybe... but other than that I can't see myself doing much else to it.
