But doesn't the AK74 already take care of that? Looks aside

No ,you would lose accruacy , The AK47 bolt is slighly off center.
Make's the barrel flex and wobble when fired.(even in semi) AK47 is a true Machine Gun , the Armalites are closer to a rifle design. edit: Does the AK74 follow the same bolt design as the AK47. or is it just chambered for 5.56 mm ammo ? Last edited by REX FERAL; January 7th, 2008 at 22:01.. |

After the Warsaw pack fell apart some countries that manufacture the AK74 converted to NATO 5.56 MM. East Germany ,Bulgaria, Poland and Romania. I was thinking of a company in Nevada that manufactures AK47's , K-VAR They import 5.56 nato barrels and magazine's that will fit in a AK47 . I think it's a Bulgarian company that makes them the part's. I know K-VAR make's the AK74 as well , and offer AK74 parts. Last edited by REX FERAL; January 8th, 2008 at 02:15.. |

I have all the love in the world for the SR-47, I have been tempted for the last year maybe year and a half to buy that kit. Two problems its almost 1000us, second I have no idea how I would get it here in canada.
The story on these bad boys is very cool. Cave buster, and tunnel rats. Always its is said that there is about 100 of them ever made, and that they don't make them anymore. I am no sure but if you want something really cool this is the gun for you. You should look up swordfish front ends if you like the strange.

Armalov Kalashnivite! Fugly but cool. Might look a little better with AK74 mags. As for real steel .556 AKs' Norinco (china) made a wack back in the 80s'. .556 AKs' seem to kick a lot harder that Armalites.

KAC discountinued the SR-47. Supposedly because of feeding problems due to the M4 gas system.
