Nope, the PEQ box doesn't get in the line of the sight when I'm looking through the ACOG. Not that high.

Your Star AR looks way too sexy now...
Ask to Marksman. Got the AEG from him. Did a special order for me. You just have to ask him for it. He's a good guy to deal with.

I got a game this week end. And This is only crap. Shoot like a clearsoft. Dammit !!!

Nah, it's shooting very accurate and very strong. Well balance and ... hop up is pretty sensitive. Well, in general, this is the best M4 I've ever owned. You want a good AEG but not a PTW, get a STAR. I'll put a tightbore inner barrel to be more accurate ! That's gonna be the first and probably the last upgrade in it.

By the way, I've seen the WA M4A1. DAMMIT ! That's pretty nice ! Shoot like a real steel one. Got a good kick and pretty fun to shoot ! Wow... You want one ? Marksman shop got 2 in stock now. Hurry up ! Internals seems to be like a real one. Works on gas. Pretty cool !

Just a question, does anybody have any hints about how much fps we can put by changing the spring without breaking the gearbox apart ?

Cause the stock one is 340 fps with .20g.

Can we put it at 400 fps without breaking everything inside the mechbox ?

Keeping in mind this is all theoretical: yes, you should be able to safely go up to 400fps and over. The mechbox itself is reinforced, you can see the extra material, specially around the cylinder head area. My plan is to replace the entire cylinder assembly (including a bearing piston head) to maximize airseal, then install a tightbore, a STAR bearing spring guide and a Sorbothane cushion and see what that brings me up to. I figure with the Sorbothane and the reinforced mechbox, I should be able to safely to 400fps easily. Heck, between the airseal improvement, 509mm tightbore, and bearings on both ends, I'll probably already be fairly close to 400fps with the stock spring.... I hope.

I'm also going to rewire the damn thing, and possibly drop a Trigger Master in. Man, talk about having the upgrades planned before even trying the gun, eh?

First, gotta find how to get to the quick changing spring mechanism. Cause I don't have a clue to get to this. lol I'll check the manual... but... as I see, they don't give any clue on this.

Seems like I got to dismantle the buffer tube... but... there isn't any screw. Does anybody have done this before ? Don't want to break something I shouldn't cause I tried something bad on it.

The Star M4 series use the same mech as a RS, so to remove the buffer tube you need to unscrew the castle nut, you need a tool for this, but if you don't you might want to try to unscrew it with a big pair of plyers and put a piece of big tower to not damage the castle nut. Or you can try with the '' Constrictor'' tool (go see at canadian tire hehe). Hope that help lol :P

Exclamation

I've been able to reach the quick spring change system.

1. Remove the folding stock just like any folding stock on M4 series. Pull the pin and remove the folding stock.

2. After, twist anti-clockward the ring beneath the receiver and the buffer tube.

3. Pull the M4 Steel End plate. It will come with the buffer tube.

4. Remove the buffer tube.

5. Twist the pin anti clockward to remove it.

6. If you have an allen key, just use it. The biggest one you'll need. Twist the spring guide and be sure to hold it tight, cause there is a lot of tension on the spring. If you don't want to break a window, or kill someone who's in front of the hole... be sure to hold it. Or else it's gonna pop out very hardly of the mechbox.

If you don't have any allen key, just use the back side of the cap you've just unscrewed. Put it on the spring guide and twist. It works too.

That's it. Hope this is gonna help for those who wants to do a spring change on the STAR M4.
