i just saw a real peltor comtac II with boom mic, peltor PTT, and downlead go for 250 on ebay... much better than any replica will be. this is worse than fake eotechs.

And then, people will find out how hot it is to play with these in summer. My real peltors are for CQB only.

I tried to field them on 2 occasions during summer... I gave up after 10-15 minutes.

Once Ebaybanned has them or Huang, I volunteer to shoot with them to test noise cancelation. I believe the ComTac damps anything above 82 db. I could do a quick test when them come in, I know my SwatTacs, black opposed to the OD green ComTac, will cut/damp even my hands clapping loudly together, so if the replica fails, I doubt it will work for real-steel. Probably won't do this in an indoor range, especially with pistols, I most likely will do it outdoors with a rifle though. Again I'll share my results as soon as I can get a set and find time to test them.

These are just replicas.. It's not like you're going to bring these into real combat situations..
It's a toy, it's a replica. Don't expect much, but if you do, buy yourself a real one.

Yes they look big, are you guys actually going to bring these on the fields to play airsoft?
Having these on, and playing in game, you won't even hear your enemies coming, or firing at you. lol

i dont expect them to be too great but its mostly aimed towards geordos who do not want to dish out too much cash to get the right looks. im trying to find some decently priced comtac IIs on ebay as well but most of the better priced ones always only ship within US lolz....

PTT for what radio? Each PTT assembly is specific to the radio it's attaching to. New PTT's are roughly $200. So although that's still a good deal, you'd have to add $200 to get it to work with your radio.

And of course, anyone who's selling the entire kit for that low a price isn't telling you something.

You can hear everything around you. Even better compared to normal hearing, wich is a problem sometime.

My real peltors block every sharp noises when they are set to maximum. Snaping my finger near the mic will cut the sound to 50% or less. It's not really usable for outside games, because you need to hear and understand everything you hear. But for CQB, it's ok after getting used to. Everything become louder. Every BB bounce sound like it's on you, even if it's 10-20m away. Every AEG sound like a real machine gun.
