I bought this subload in HK direct from distributor for 100HKD, which is about $15CAD and have been running it in a DA and CQB setup. Like my 6004, I run it high-ride. I find draws from the lower hip much faster, fluid and more instinctual than the chest (I run TT shingles with bungee retention).
As for the quality of the thing, I once jammed an empty mag in there because my dumper was full and it jostled one of the screws out to be lost forever. I plan on paying a visit to Home Depot and trying to locate a replacement, but haven't gotten around to it. Tighten the shit out of that thing when you get it. I don't know if it's inferior materials (the screws are plastic) or if it was just loose when I bought it. |

Tactical Response has courses in Canada. They are doing FR and FP courses this summer in Grande Prairie.

With the cost of the courses and ammo, I couldn't afford the water for my rig, let alone the flights to Florida.
I won't be taking them anyways.

For the record, I haven't taken Yaeger's course although I would like to down the line. There are some other fine instructors up here that provide fantastic training. Courses like TacR and MD are fantastic, but one-one instruction can be more valuable in some cases. On reloading, it's all technique and muscle memory. Since I discovered the mag flip extraction method while moving to high-port...well, that certainly speeds things up again. An extended charging handle allows you to drop the palm of your hand on the charger at highport and while you push out to high ready your charge and release. Really slick. Blackthorne, where the fuck are you buddy? This is your ballpark... Last edited by MadMorbius; January 8th, 2009 at 09:06.. |

Achem.....
Holsters - For carry, get a Raven. For combat, get a Vapor holster from SpecOps. Safariland and Serpa suck. Yeager - Is the shit. I like him because he has the same attitude I do towards many things, but I trained with him (and will again in the future) because he can do everything he teaches at the drop of a hat. If you are committed to training , there are ways to reduce costs somewhat like rentals and shooting platforms that use cheaper ammo, a la CZ58 etc. Approach it as a vacation, and you will find it's more affordable than you think. Mag Changes - Love the fast rotation coming into high port to ge the mag out. Unfortunately doesn't work too well with the commie guns, but we already had a kewl way of doing it (smack the release with the new mag). Get a charging handle extension. They work when your fingers turn into flippers under stress and help ALLOT when you gun is getting nice and dirty at the 1400 round mark. That Drop Leg Rig - Hey. It's airsoft, whatever turns you on, but that thing looks like it sticks out about a fucking mile, and all those spaces n shit between the mags scream "branch catcher" and "hey, lets get his leg caught on that nice door jamb". It's the exact reason I don't like the Safariland.
