is it possible to ship complete gearboxes (with shell) into canada, or only parts like gear kits or springs?

Complete mechboxes are fine.

You can ship complete gearboxes in. Really the only thing that wouldn't get through is the metal receivers. And maybe replica silencers (correct me if I'm wrong).

Silencers are supposed to be prohibited, but seems that people are able to import them often.
Otherwise, most airsoft gun parts are totally legal to import. As already mentioned, the receiver (upper or lower, depending on the gun) is illegal to import.

and how is it with the two main parts of my AUG A1?
i don't mean the plastic receiver, but anything else. the outer barrel unit including the vertical fore grip. with nato caliber markings and serial number on it. and the scope unit with the charging handle. then it should be no problem, to ship these items across the border... Unless you have some special upgrade parts that you want to keep, you're much better off just selling your AUG locally and buying a new one once you get here. In a year and a half of browsing the classifieds here, I can't remember seeing a single AUG receiver for sale. Stripping it and bringing the parts over, you're more than likely to end up with nothing other than a bunch of AUG parts that you can't reassemble because of the missing receiver.
IMO, I'd do that same with all your guns, really. You can't import your pistols. ICS lower receivers are rather rare here too. The only time you're to find one is if someone is parting out a broken gun or something. M4 receivers show up for sale often, but they won't fit an ICS.

oh man, that really sucks.
is it hard to find a whole classic army aug a1 with od receiver in canada, after the age verification? |

CA AUGs come up for sale pretty regularly. I remember seeing some A2 models. I'm sure whoever can get the A2 can get an A1 as well. As for receiver colour, at worse you can always paint a black one OD if necessary.

No, not hard. You can buy used or a retailer can probably bring in a new one for you.

The guy from Poland brought all his AEGs in his luggage on the plane.
He took them apart and separated the recievers in case customs wanted to confiscate the recievers. They never even opened his luggage and so he moved all his guns from Europe to Canada with no problems. Like all things, it is luck - the same for shipping through the mail. Sometimes customs fails to check a box. AUGs are not that popular around here. A friend bought an upgraded TM AUG from this forum for $300. Other guns will be much more expensive and harder to find. The hardest things to get in Canada are recievers. Only M4 recievers are ever really sold. Most imported things are complete guns. You are better to buy an entire new weapon here.

do the retailers only sell aeg's with clear receivers, or also with coloured?
and, is it really hard to find a lower metal receiver for my ics m4? i always thought that many ics parts are available in canada.

The majority of guns available in the ASC classifieds are full black.

The clear reciever weapons are new to Canada and are the cheaper alternative that is easier for more sellers to import. There are still many regular AEGs imported from the U.S. by sellers in this forum.
