Sounds good I'm really tempted to just sell my MP5 and pay the extra for the 416, but I want to try and actually use it for a game first

If you haven't read the Gen 2 updates in Tokyo 7's thread, you probably should.

Having own both HK416 before, it all depends on what you're after.

IF you own the Gen 1 before and has maintenance done to it,, if it doesn't give you any grieve, and don't intend to use it for high FPS, keep the Gen 1 shouldn't be too much of a problem.

But if you haven't own a JG HK416 before... this is definitely one of the best Chinese AEGs I've owned before and a significant improvement over the first version. It comes with a 6.04mm tightbore, high-torque motor, good air compression, good mechbox shell, full metal teeth piston, full metal 1 piece-hop-up unit and MOSFET etc. out of the box.

That's what convinced me to order one. I'll probably update T7's review when I get it.

My present JG 416 with full stock and 14 inch barrel is around 7 lbs so I'm guessing the full metal version will be around 8-8.5lbs.

I don't want to bump this, but I'm really curious if anyone has got their V2 416's yet? If so, how is it? Price?

A retailer/importer would be wise to stock these. They would sell like hotcakes. I know almost 10 people that also want one including myself.

The trades are nowhere VFC quality though. Some reports of them not even being stamped on straight. Also missing many of the little HK trademark things (like the thing that looks like antlers) on the upper reciever, etc.

Trades don't really bother me. It's more of a bonus for me.

I don't mind inaccurate trades. However, it's typos and errors and such in the trades that I have issue with, like the aftermarket DBoys 416 receivers. They have errors like saying it's 5.56x4.5mm, and apparently another typo somewhere else on the body.

Even the version 1 416's would sell like crazy, I want one so bad now.
