They are 1 of the cheapest starter guns out there... Pretty good quality as well, only plastic lower reciever, everything else is their mid-line parts. CAS versions are even cheaper.

Full metal guns cost even more! There're metal bodies for sale on some of the sites, if you're up for that.

Change compression, or spring... honestly, 350 is around right for most people, I'd recommend you start off at 300. All of my guns shoot 280-340

not sure about the fps out of the box...350 sounds about right. someone confirm/correct.
put in a stronger spring = higher fps ditto weaker spring = lower fps |

This site again.... By changing compression I mean getting like o-ring nozzles, better piston heads, better hop-up units and ect, and getting rid of air-seal leaks

so basically to get a good g&g gun hitting around 400fps would cost like $550.00??

Umm.... No... Just get a 400fps spring.. Wouldn't know why you want it to shoot 400fps though, it would be banned from a lot of games. It would be like $350, or whatever model you want, +$20 for a spring

You don't need to shoot 400fps. 350-360 will to just fine.
You think they're expensive? Welcome to the world of canadian airsoft

the 400fps spring will not effect the gearbox?? or internal parts?

The Mach 1 and 007 G&G guns are identical in every way to the full metal line of G&G guns, including a metal upper receiver. The only difference is the clear lower to conform to Canadian import regulations. The rest of the externals are high grade metal parts. The CAS versions have the same internals as the high end models, only have a fibre-reinforced nylon uppper receiver, and the tinted lower receiver. The externals are of a lower grade metal, but are still of good quality comparable to other clone guns like JG and such. Their internals are identical to the Mach 1, 007 and regular all metal G&G guns.

It'll increase the wear rate on various components, such as the mechbox shell, gears, piston, bearings ect. And it'll break quicker.

it will definately mean more wear and tear. you can upgrade the gearbox and internals as well.

Heh, oops XD. My bad memory. I thought I had read somewhere that the outer metal bits was from their mid-line and the CAS versions had combatmachine parts? And the entire mechbox was from their top-tech division correct? |
