What about switching motor or extending the barrel? Seems to me like the barrel should be pretty simple, where the motor will be affected by the gearbox and battery.

Extended barrel is a breeze.
You will have to change the cylinder to match the length of barrel you want. Check your motor. If it has the blue end and shiny/chrome magnets, the only better motor is a Systema Magnum. These little JG motors are awesome. Beats everything I had before. If you decide to extend the barrel, I recommend you to find an ICS M4 outerbarrel. You can remove the front part right behind the gaz block. The stock outerbarrel is pure junk. Then there is very little modifications to do to the Dragon body to make it fit. And you will be able to fit any -14mm attachment without a silly adapter. Yes I had one of theses. With a complete ICS M4A1 front end. That is the only thing I changed on the rifle and it was a beast. |

Alright, I've decided to go with a 450mm inner barrel. I'm figuring I could get the silencer and use it as well as a new, longer outer barrel to make it look alright. The problem i am having is figuring out what kind of cylinder to get.
The motor is blue, so I won't upgrade it. We'll see how the barrel extension goes. |

I have it.. I totally love it! The only “Modding” ‘I’ve done was to remove to tail fin stalk cover, painted some carbon staining, and a few battle scars, over all, a really good look.
It has a really unique sound when fired, mainly due to the large stubby suppressor. Guys in the field know when they’re being shot by the Dragon, it sounds like no other rifle out there. If you like the rifle, get it! I’ve had it for close to a year and a half now and haven’t had a problem with it. The internals are stock and it has seen 1,000’s and 1,000’s of rounds thru her. That’s more than I can say about my ICS M4A1 and my CA SCAR Light... :P |

It's kind of fun watching people flip the fuck out when someone mentions actually liking it. I picked one up a while back, mainly because I just think it's a unique looking rifle. I'll never game with it, as I already have a regular M4 (plus other rifles) but at the same time time it's sort of a collector's piece to me. Not to mention the fact that the gearbox in mine was garbage - if you pull the trigger too slow it'll seize up, and you'll have to switch it to auto then back to semi to get it going again. The battery is an immense pain in the ass to get in/out of the rifle, and when I mounted a carrying handle rail onto mine it took way too much effort for a simple task. If I was to upgrade mine, I'd get rid of the plastic body for a metal one, a better gearbox/hop up and a new tight bore barrel. Maybe look at getting rid of the annoying stock for something different, but that still matches the look of the body kit. Last edited by Loathing; January 6th, 2010 at 22:53.. |

I have the same problem with mine, it's not a big deal, and it just happens on semi auto, every-so-often.
Here's a few pics of my Dragon as she is right now... I think it's very pretty! |

I wonder how a full stock or shorty full stock would look on one of those.

So one passion at a time, while living within my means. Hope the Dragon is still here when I'm ready. If you want to know....the T.W.A.T. team seems to be the bunch I'd want to play with, judging by their thread. [plus the local group..] Last edited by Mudder; January 7th, 2010 at 07:44.. |

man so many people on here are so quick to say buy a "better" gun, dont upgrade its not worth your time or money. what happened to working on something , learning the internals, being proud of working your own stuff and knowing how it works. how do you know whats worth someones time or money? i suspect alot of the same people who suggest buying a "better" gun and its not worth it to upgrade dont own their own car and have never had the satisfaction of fixing their own stuff.
