ahaha too bad for us. all the "teams" here are pretty much fixed. so all the good buddies go on 1 team and the other's just full of lone wolf ninjas. it's not too bad once you get used to it =)

You don't even know me. Don't speak out your ass.

I don't use Hicaps, but thanks.

But, I don't go out there with 100BBs and only be out there playing for myself. That's no fun, and nobody likes that guy.

Just because I've got a G3SG1 with Cmag doesn't mean it's an LMG. The 249 on the other hand is. Because that's it's designed purpose. I've also got a box mag for my 416. Never used it, but I've still got it. It doesn't make it an LMG either.

AKs could fall into the same category....
Ak can't fall in the same category because the barrel is too short also the aks has an alternative in airsoft: RPK
I don't want to buy an m249 cause I find it ugly that's why I was looking for an alternative

I'm not talking about the length of the barrel. That comparison didn't originally come into the discussion.. You were originally talking about just slapping a box mag in a rifle and calling it an LMG.

If you want to get into semantics about it, every rifle has an airsoft version as an LMG. It all depends on how much effort you want to put into creating the rifle.

As for playing styles, the name of the game is adaptability. Being able to go from lone wolf status to team player is what you should be looking for.

Lone wolfs are only effective if they work wit the team.... therefore making them team players. Only time I've ever had any positive outcomes from lone wolfing it was when i flank the enemy and take them out with my quite as death 416 while my team keeps them occupied.

Now The ONLY simple rifle to LMG conversion is turning a G36 into an MG36, second place goes to AK-> RPK. Aside from that, though a G3 based support weapon would be killer unique if done right, it would be a massive headache to source the proper parts for the mod and probably cost a fair bit.

Source nothing, everything forward of the magazine was 100% home made lol
But yeah it's a HUGE pain in the ass. Mind you it would be SOOOOOOO much easier now that I have access to a CNC with a rotary table and a CNC lathe!
I think there's 2 other guys in Canada with custom HK21 mods that look alright, as I recall they both used the G3 RAS handguards, you'd have to do some digging to find the pics

i can't find anything on G3 SG1 being a LMG .... I was thinking about getting a Cmag drum box, disassemble it, DIY the Hk21 drum box , attached to a ammo belt clip and to the gun .... ect... you get the idea. I will try to put more work into it.

It wouldn't be under G3 SG1 or LMG, it would be under HK21
Just look for HK21 in airsoft media, I'm sure your bound to find it. Or just look for my HK11 thread, I think they both posted in there too
Either way it's going to require either a custom machined front end, or a G3 RAS, plus a box or Cmag, and a heavy barrel that I think would need to be custom made
It's no easy task converting a G3 into an LMG

How do you think you will get a M203, bipod AND handgrip? The M203 takes the bottom rail...unless you like turning your gun sideways to use a bi-pod.
