Airsoft doesn't have a hud.
Good luck with the project though, but I don't think it would be worth the trouble and the effort to create this suit. Its only gonna get shot up, scuffed and the like as you use it. Keep it as a costume at conventions or something. Buy real gear if you're going to get into airsoft. |

That's some pretty impressive building/sculpting. The HALO stuff may not really fit into a lot of the game (although you can probably get away with it at games at Action Commando), but if you enjoy building I'm sure you'll be able to find all sorts of military-themed props that would fit right in. And there's the occasional sci-fi or zombie themed games, too. In Ontario they had several Stargate-themed events.

Yeah but at the same time, I think that just the helmet with a normal military gear wouldn't look too sci-fi. It would be certainly prettier than a full face mesh mask.
But yeah, I'm doing that prop for fun, if it doesn't fit with most of the games, I can still make something else after |

that helmet, as already mentioned, be hard to sight your rifle. a HUD system will probably be x20 your current invest and make operational. it would be incredibly hot to wear in any weather and will no doubt fog up your goggles. lastly, being a fully sealed unit, you'll have issues hear ambient sounds making tracking people shooting you tough in a milsim situation.
you'd also want to clear with the field operator that they will allow the use of it. what kind of lens or goggle system are you going to use with it? it would have to be ansi rated to withstand point blank shots. |

Yes thank for pointing that out.
Yes one of the concern I forgot about is aiming. Would be hard, agreed, the rifle would need to be farther away from your face than usual. As for the lense, it is a motocycle face shield, I'm sure it can wistand BBs. For ventilation, one fan above the visor to push air down, one behind the neck for pushing air down. And some fogtech (I think that's how it's called) on the visor to prevent as much as possible fogging. As for hearing, either use microphone/headphones or I could cut a small piece of plastic near the ear, put some mesh and cloth and paint it like the rest of the helmet. I guess it would work better in winter condition. |

Why? A hit is a hit regardless of how much armour your wearing.

they won't allow custom or home made masks or goggles. heck they've had some issues with airsoft players bringing in balistics masks or even these |

Uhhh. As I said in previous posts, I said that I only wanted to make the helmet for now.
I don't store mags in my bucket. But I got my answer, it is not popular, I got it. Let the thread die now. |

With proper paintjob and everything, I'm sure it won't look out of nowhere. And personnally, everything is better than a mesh mask for me. And I can still wear googles underneath |

Motorcycle helmet visors ARE NOT ANSI Rated. They are just plastic visors. Most fields require REAL eye protection, the kind of stuff that'll stop small caliber real bullets.

The only tricky part would be finding good googles that fits inside since it's tight inside. Also, googles that are good enough (fog and comfort) that I can wear them without the helmet and with my pasgt. |
