Did you not read my post about QD silencers? Every single one i have seen have had the drooping effect, if not right away over a little bit of time. If you already have the threaded barrel, then why get an additional piece (M4 flash hider) and an inferior product (QD silencer)?

Just get a threaded silencer.

Did you used the G5?

I have one of the first batch made... It was banged, dropped, hit, kinked and dropped again.

Still VERY sturdy (as in I could bend the barrel with it).

Yes I have seen those sag worse than my shlong upon sight of Rosie O'Donnell. I have never seen a QD silencer that stays straight enough to not interfere with the shooting. I wouldn't trust these things as far as I could throw them.

It uses a special flash hider and can be installed or removed in a few seconds.
Plus the markings on the silencer are correct for a G36. (Right caliber etc.)

There is a set screw on the flash hider too. You will need to have at least 1/2" clearance behind the flash hider because you have to push the silencer in, turn 1/4 turn and release to lock it in place.
That might be enought. If not, you can find some longer on ebaybanned.com
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1002

Also, if you use a silencer that directly treads on the barrel, your won't have any slop as long as you tighten it properly.

I have used some KA 25$ silencers on various G36s before and it held well.

The set screw is there to align the flash hider anyways, to make sure that whatever the treads start or end, you can place the hider aligned and tighten the set screw to lock it there.
On that Mad Bull G5, Does the Flash hider go into the silencer? Because If it does, Then if you look at my pictures again.. You can see how the stock flash hider goes over the outer barrel a bit. So, If that one is the same and threads on in a similar fashion it may not work?

Can you take a few photo's of your G5 and PM me them? if you still have it?
Thanks!

I've been doing some more searching and figuring out things..

I've decided I'll try this silencer out, Because everything is very close looking to work. The portion that sticks out the back should be enough to push the silencer out of the hand guard. I know some people are opposed to the QD style silencers But With a G36, Accessing the battery is a pain. And removing the silencer everytime I need to get at the battery is going to tear up the threads in no time. So having a QD would be optimal.

Not to mention, It's nearly exactly what I was looking for in terms of style.

Anyway guys. I appreciate the help! I'll be sure to post up some pictures once I get the silencer mounted!

No.

If they are deemed to be fake/toys, they might pass.

It's 50/50.

G5 won't fit your G36 without the "adapter" which is just a small 1/2" extension.

The flash hider rear part will go up to the end of the treads.

The silencer needs 1/2" behind that to be attached.

You can use almost any direct tread silencer.

Any QD that uses an M4 flash hider won't fit either.

Yes, the G5 flash hider goes inside the silencer body. I is held by a large spring that pushes the silencer forward. The two tabs on the flash hider secure it in place (only one way that can fit).
