Paypal took almost $200 out of my bank before closing my account, for "fees".

I still don't know what fees they were talking about.

It was too expensive to pursue because of the internationality.

Trust me, I have been and am continuing to. However, it looks like it's going to take some time, and my time is worth more then $200.

Back on topic, yes prepaids work the same as regular credit cards (generally).

I bought A Vest and some mags with my pre paid visa theres one fatal flaw in using it though

that flaw is if you have money left over it is impossible to buy more stuff with it online wise. Also don't use it at tim hortons or else *Sigh*

hah im stuck with 15$ and 10$ and u cannot put it in your pay pal even if you charge your self

No Gear:

Use it physically at a store and ask them to charge the rest of the balance to cash or another CC. Just like you'd do with a gift card since they are called Pre Paid Visa "GIFT CARDS".

Toasties:

That really sucks, I've heard of it happening before to a lot of other people, in fact one of my friends had something like $40 taken from him when PP banned his account (luckily he didn't link his bank info to PP or his account probably would have been drained). I believe it may be too late now however there was a class action lawsuit being launched against PP, likely it has already passed since I heard about this in Gr. 10 so that would have been like 4 years ago.

Your information can be banned from PP (name, address, cc #'s) if you have several claims made against you and you refuse to pay the refunds.

Oh yeah, Latency and Pus, I know. I had collection calls asking me for almost a grand for a few months. Got the lawyer involved and paypal dropped whatever I "owed" them, but kept the $200 for "fees".

I'll cut my loses and just never deal with them again. In fact, I don't use a credit card at all, and I'm debt free. Life is better that way.

Woohoo, this again.

What confirmation do you have of that? I'm 19.

This should be fun.

If you're going to freak out, take it to PM. I don't want you to pollute the thread.

If your argument is that I'm not AVed, its not valid, as you aren't either.

I show ID at retailers, to individuals, and at games. Until recently, I have had a bum ankle and have been pretty much immobile. I am not gaming because of the injury, although I plan to start CAPS soon. I will show my ID there.

It's not as though if you're 18, an AV tag magically appears beside your name. You have to seek it out.

I do not need access to the classifieds right now, and I certainly don't need to prove myself to twats like you, so right now, it's not a priority. Once I start gaming again, or need access to AV retailers, then the situation, along with my priorities, will change.

Chill man, I just assumed that since you have no AV tag. That wasn't meant to be offensive...more as a joke. Sorry?...

Debt is healthy for a person. When you realize that most home and business ventures mean debt you see it under a different light. That said credit card debt and a loan are much different.
