unfortunately some auto winding drums wont feed with less than 200 round in it, or it's atleast a real pain to rattle the bbs around till they get in the feeder lol

I think that for airsoft I believe that lmg and heavy assault weapons are one and the same. But think for anyone to take you serious you may have to put some love and money in. But please remember that lmg and heavy assault weapons in airsoft work the same way that any other aeg works. So please don't get discouraged went a m4 out shoots you.

I'm not gonna bother getting into the arguement of what is a SAW in airsoft... as I know alot of people deem the Hbar Aug, the MG36 and RPK/RPD as easy cop outs ...

but for someone that wants to give the saw a try without commiting a grand or more, it's great. also for smaller sims and skirmish's the RPK's and MG36's offer enough manouverability to keep up with the faster pace.

I'm just finishing up an MG36, and the guys I play with seem to enjoy having it out ... although a M249 is definately on my list for large milsims, and I'm also gathering parts to build a minigun(which on our field will be nearly useless, but the holy crap factor is definately there ) ...

but I've already been told that for say a milsim if a bunch of saw's show up.. and they are all 249's/60's then I'll probably be told to put the mg36 away .. or run it like a normal g36 with standard mags. on the other side of that our last milsim we needed one more SAW to make both sides even and a Shrike/modded drumed M4 was used.

I think it really is a case by case thing... if you just build nearly sniper rifle AK/G36, with a laser beam ROF and dump a drum/C mag on it and yell I'm a SAW...

personally I'm doing mine as for it's use.. it's built to keep enemy heads down, herd em up and let my teammates pick em off so power and distance is nice... but accuracy isn't a prime concern.. nor is ROF ... I don't want a super laser beam.

and yeah pretty much all the other team mates main guns outshoot mine (half the team are PTW's) in ROF, distance and accuracy... but they still hit the deck when I open up at em
