Makes me wonder what version I have. I have markings:
KE026885 6mm BB
Kal. 9mmx19

Any ideas?

Version 2. Your serial number is very high.

The serial number on my Version 1 was KE000xxx.

Alright. Cheers for that Sequential.

I had some trouble with the magazine falling out, but tightening the mag well gently with vice grips sorted that out. It seems like it was too loose causing the magazine retainer not to latch on properly.

Only thing I wish I'd find is a metal handguard for the SD version. The plastic one is the only thing which let's it down quite a bit externally.

Yeah the plastic SD guard is what ruins the gun. It doesn't feel real enough. If they had a rubber one I would like that.

Just put in a falcon rifled barrel and sems like fps dropped to 360fps. Is that normal? Another thing is the azimuth 2.3mm mag valve decreases fps by another 30fps +

Despite getting some low fps at 270fps to 360fps (different nozzles) , trajectory flight seems to be pretty good with the rifled barrel!

The FPS is subjective. The magazine could have been a different temperature upon testing.

The flight with the rifled barrel is pretty damn good with the VSR10 mod. I recommend using a heavier BB though. .28's are perfect.

Okay thanks. Gonna give it a try. Should I be using the new hopup unit with the space for a spacer or would the old one do fine? I had also tried the azimuth valve and it doesnt seem to be very good... I think the hammer barely hits it and it just spurts and sometimes hisses.

the extended charging tube is also good as a replacement if the threads on the inlets are messed up. I just swapped it out and its good to go.

Any recommendations on a good third party pressure valve? The gen1 mags have terrible cooldowns. And when I ordered the mags they sent me these old gen1s... quite disappointing.
And what about inlet valves? I cant seem to find any third party steel versions, how does the action inlets hold?
- apapparently the umarex PPQ m2 uses the same inlet valves! I took one and tried and it worked flawlessly.

Another thing is... does the tsc brass magic inserts really work? And there are 2 coloured inserts... what is the diff?

Thanks... these mp5 mags are a headache with the crappy valves and charging tube. Even the new mags use really bad charging tubes with bad threads and no o-rings... the new pressure valves however seems to have a larger output.

Majority of the mods you shouldn't bother even playing with.
I've come to the conclusion using the original VFC parts from Gen 3 gun is the best and most efficient. The azimuth stuff is a hit or miss. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
The Action charging tubes are really damn good. I use them on most of the mags that I have that have had leaking issues.
The cooldown on the MP5 is really bad unfortunately, you will need to stick to semi-auto most of the time.
The space with the spacer (hop-up nub) is the one you need for sure. That is the best one to get the VSR10 accuracy. The gun will start to over-hop, but that's when you will need to start using .25g and .28g.

Hmm thats sad to hear about the cooldown.
okay, I'll go and get a new hopup unit then. And I always use .25s and above anyway so that is good to hear.

I'll try out the different nozzles , valves and etc parts anyway since ive got them here... I'll add my experience to the thread when I have results.

thanks sequential!

hmmm okay I took my mp5 for a CQB game for the first time.

I was using the Falcon rifled barrel
with a purple prommy hop & spacer (soft type)
had an A-plus tech knockout system kit with the longer screw insert (shooting 310 to 330fps with 0.20g BBs)
using a ready fighter nozzle & cylinder set
TSC magic insert in the nozzle...
azimuth bolt guides
precision .25g BBs

and wow... the projectile flights were amazingly straight with no problems hitting out 40m accurately.
Was mostly firing in Semi but did not have a single jam or misfeed with the mags and I did not notice any cooldown at all.

was also running the angrygun 120% recoil guide and did not notice any significant wear to the nozzle or bolt at all.

... before working on it, the gun was misfeeding constantly and the cooldown was horrible and mags would leak at times. I am truly happy with it now.

Gonna try and work on another hopup set and nozzle set with increase in fps output for outdoor gaming and probably run .30g BBs and above. Hopefully the mags can keep up.

Good to hear mate!
I am also running the angry gun 120% recoil guide. It works wonders.

Greetings from Lithuania. Im a gun nut and I consider of buying umarex mp5a2 gbb, because it looks very realistic and has all proper markings. So i though this is the best place to ask an advice. This gun wouldnt hang on wall all the time, because i like shooting a lot, maybe sometimes i would bring it to some airsoft fights. I red some negative feedback about this gun, that internal parts wear fast. Is it so bad? How often you need to replace parts, can it hold like 1000 or more shots without breaking?

More than 5000 shots easy no breaking on the latest Gen.
