Regarding the Guns Modify Zero Hammer - I've heard of the same issues as well. Some of my gunsmith buddies in HK polish the crap out of it before hand and file out edges that create restriction. Some say it needs a "break in" period first, but I say that's a brute force approach to something that should be properly machined to begin with. Other 'smiths agree, and rather than wear out other parts with this "break in period", they work the item in prior to installation to ensure smooth functioning from the get-go.
Yea i was afraid that it would eventually damage the blowback unit. Thats why i reinstalled the stock hammer spring before i left for Kelowna. i'm thinking of modifying the stock hammer spring by cutting one of the prongs off and bending a new one. That way it's a bit stiffer but not as stiff as the Guarder 150% spring. I want to get a spare hammer spring first though just in case i screw up.

It isn't that stiff, I don't feel mine are any stiffer with the upgraded spring vs 1911s. 1911s' are also directly surface to surface wear, whereas on the Glock you have a roller hammer rolling one one bump on the BBU. There is always going to be somekind of over travel between the point where the hammer cocks, and where it "rests" after it cocks. If the 2 spot is exactly the same, just as easily as the hammer cocks it can also uncock itself, as the hammer spring is loading the hammer to the release direction....

What's the difference between that and just buying a weaker spring? At least with the latter option, you end up with two confirmed functioning springs...
