Spring is more consistant and reliable. And you can use it in any weather. Upgrading it will be costly, sometimes almost as much as what you paid for the gun in the first place.

The gas version can't do any of that, but will be easier to regulate the power, either by adjustment means, or using different gases (duster or propane). And you won't have to spend nearly as much on upgrades.

Stalker I like your concept of carrying the sniper bolt action and the SMG. Seems like the perfect combo.

Our fields around here though only let players carry one primary and a GBB secondary (ergo no AEG as secondary). But your setup seems like it'd be perfect for snipers to have fun and be effective.

I carry my vsr-10 and a secondary all the time. I usually use shotguns but have used an m16 also. Next on the list is an m60.

It's very effective and you can literally decide at the moment what the best approach to the situation would be. Even though my M24 weighs 14-16lbs, and tends to get caught on branches (takes some skill to move quietly through brush, dipping th eshoulder and guiding the barrel around things), there have been times I've left it at respawn or the staging area and been pissed because the situation I just came across would have been perfect for it. So I go almost full time with it slung, just makes the left shoulder ache after a good day of stalking and running.

AND, I have a full ghillie suit and do that role 100% when the need to arises, which is few and far between, but at least I have the skills and knowledge to do it when the mission calls for a sniper/scout. So I literally have the best of both worlds.

do you use a good three point sling on your M24? I made one for my real sniper rifle and it keeps my gun ringt in the center of my back I have it barrel down so it dos not snag on much. also I can just swing it around and bring it right up to my sholder without even unslinging it.

I don't, I use a regular (yet expensive) rifle sling on it, but I never considered a three point for it. Of course, going by the way I move, having it vertical won't benefit me as I can't see the muzzle like I can when moving around, and it'll get hung up more. At least when I move I can turn sideways and slip through brush easily.

I carrry my rifle barrel down for a number of reasons! if you carry your gun barrel down on a three point sling on your back it will be totally out of the way and the only thing it will hang up on is when you are stepping over really big logs and stuff like that otherwise going through brush and stuff is really easy! you hardly notice that you have the gun on. if you want I can post a picture of myself with the gun strapped on so you can see what I am talking about. Its really easy and cheap to make a three point sling yourself.

That pic shows it kinda low, generally I have the gun on my back at roughly a 45 degree angle. As I said, let's me look over my shoulder at the barrel and duck it under branches and brush, and at least once the netting on the barrel (BTW, has real cadpat strips tied onto it) caught up damn good in branches, so I had to pull out my Spyderco and cut the branches loose. Lol, shit, been times I'll pull my rifle out of my case and find all kinds of things it's picked up, at one point a 6" long branch was pulled out from within the netting.

I design/make my own slings already (I'm a cheap Scot bastard don'tcha know?), but I really have no problems carrying it as I do. I avoid carrying muzzle down, because I crouch a lot, sometimes end up on my back from dodging BBs fired at me, and last thing I want is mud and shit in my barrel. So it's always up for me. Sometimes if it's raining I'll put one of those red plugs in the barrel to keep water out, and pull it when I want to take a shot.

I went ahead and took some photos of my rifle and sling setup so you can see what I am talking about. But from the sound of it you are happy with what you got.

In the pictures I have a RAP4 M4 paintball gun and my 308 sniper rifle. In the small pack on my back I also have my ghillie suit as seen in the other photos. I also have the rest of my gear in my vest. the rifle does not have ghillie on it because in real life you cant have things touching the barrel or your gun will not be accurate.

The really nice thing about the way my sling works is that you can bring the weapon to the firing position without taking the sling off it takes less then 3 seconds. Also you can run without it moving around too much and there is no way it can slid off your shoulder because the sling goes around your neck.
