So most guns with a metal slide can take propane, however apparently some of the newer tm gbbs can take propane stock such as the p226. Im about to get a NIB tm p226 and im going to run prop. on it from the start and see how it goes. RUN IT TILL YA BREAK IT BOYS
Im just quoteing this guy to carry on this chain we have made make it last forever boys!!!! and to the OP good luck on whatever kit you get wheter its a Green gas or you get a AEG good luck to ya by'

Correct Gas for TM GBB

Nowhere I have seen actually tells anewbie what the correct gas for a typical GBB is. I have a TM P226 and really know what gas the gun is designed to use.

Also is green gas/propane too powerful for a plastic GBB?

You can read about GBB care and feeding in the Information section. Same for the upgrades (if any) needed to run on propane (Upgrades section).

In general, it is better to have a metal gun to use propane. You can also use computer duster gas (check which kind) and a drop of silicone oil.
