Here is my humble opinion, I own both KSC G18C and TM Glock 17 Gen 3
KSC G18C (Metal slide, extended threaded barrel, reinforced recoil spring and guide): (I've ran approximately 1000 rounds through it with propane using .20 bb's) Problems encountered: Broke stock air nozzle, fixed with epoxy, although now I have to secure mag with second hand to ensure mag is flush with air nozzle to shoot at optimum velocity. Cracked first metal barrel, replaced with extended silver threaded barrel. Screw on bottom of slide that holds air nozzle in place kept on coming loose, had to use red oil to secure it in place, full auto works but even on safety at times Safety switch had alot of problems, never confident that its in the right place due to its looseness. Conclusions: Alot of problems from the get-go, never even used once in field (which is scary), way too much work and headaches for a gun that's supposed to be uber reliable especially from KSC's reputation with Glocks. Performance: When it shot well, it would do 280+ easy going easily 30+ft with a flat straight trajectory. TM G17 (Guarder Metal slide and barrel, reinforced recoil spring and guide, enhanced hammer spring): (I've ran approximately 800 rounds though it with propane using .20 bb's) Problems encountered:NONE On top of being one of the nicest glocks I've seen and held, I have to testify that it shoots UBER STRAIGHT and far, the hop-up works perfectly (albeit you do have to remove the slide to access it), TM has serioulsy incorporated the best elements of their high kick, high grouping into a solid glock, add a metal slide and barrel and your rocking. This thing shoots, hard, straight and with my mods is now amazingly reliable. I cannot wait to use this in the field this summer, Conclusions: Outside of initial moding issue (unique to my situation), this gun will be my new secondary without a doubt, I highly recommend this as a sidearm project that will give you an amazing return on your investment, trust me, you won't regret it. Performance: Easily 290-300fps, going easily 50ft with a flat straight trajectory. Hope this helps. JL Last edited by Invasian; March 25th, 2008 at 11:33.. |
