Reminds me of FR this saturday... damn near the whole 'other' team had BA rifles, and I brought my TM 1911 to play (actually got decent propane milage out of it considering the temprature was hovering near 0 till the afternoon)... shot someone from the other side of the marine base with it too.

I think that new people like the idea of being a movie star sniper but have no idea what snipers really do.
I have many friends who are snipers or were snipers and 99% of the time its not that exciting of a job That 1% is really exciting and awsome but othere then that is mostly boring stuff... walking and crawling around for days at a time. sitting still for 6-8 hours without any movement just watching. Kids want the fame and want to be that guy that comes back out of the woods that shot like 50 players and was never seen. Well in real life it does not work like that. the ranges that an airsoft gun can shoot are so close that even the best camo wont hide you. After you shoot your one shot..... 500 to 1,000 6mm bbs comming from aegs will be flying your way. You only have a single shot and you only outranged them by 25 meters believe me it does not take long for someone to run up on you with their aeg and blast away. If you think you have what it takes the give it a try but believe me I love sniping but I find that even I need a brake and want to grab my aeg and go kill guys. being a sniper with a bolt gun puts you at a huge disadvantage if you like a challenge then go for it if you like to get kills get an upgraded aeg!
