I've actually always wanted a 552, hah. This looks like it might be a decent option to keep costs lower than another TM (especially the 552s)

i'm pretty interested in seeing a review of the 552. I'm in the market for a gun, and clearsoft is prettymuch all you can find for that pricepoint.
it's either the kraken, mp7, or 552 i guess. |

We bought 2 of the M-4 carbine and colt pistol combo kits kits over a year ago at WALMART for $99.00 each here in Nova Scotia. Yup! They still sell them at our local store for that price. There was 3 hanging on the rack yesterday afternoon in fact!. Ours have been totally abused and beat around and still work excellent with both .12 and .2's. I know there has been probably at least 50,000 BB's fired through each of them not to mention the fact that they have been dropped and used in most kinds of weather. The ONLY issue was a snapped off safety lever which happened when a sniper hit the lever with a shot from a Swiss Arms M-6. We robbed an old lever out of another TM clone we had for parts and it is still working fine to this day. We had a player use it last night in a game when his battery ran dead on his good AEG. He told me he couldn't believe it was a $100.00 gun. They are a bit noiseier when firing than a better quality AEG, but the good point is they are NOT fussy about ammo. They will eat absolutely anything without jamming and they shoot acceptably accurate with .12's and REALLY good with.2's.
Before you beat me up for endorsing and buying cheap guns, We have 3 good gaming AEG's we use regularily( 2 AK-47's and a swiss Arms 552 ) BUT these cheap M-4's were bought for backups or loaners to someone who wanted to come play with us locally. We have had NO issues with either of them. Jeeez! To only pay $100.00 for a metal gear box M-4? Smoking deal at Wallyworld!! SIR/ Cabelas is a bit high on them though. I also know a buddy with one of their Krakens who has had ZERO problems as well. Al |

I've purchased the 552 from Cabelas when it was on sale last winter for $164.99 plus tax.
They've got it listed today for $259.99. That was quite a sale. Overall I'm happy with the gun, though its only been indoor gamed a few times. I've painted it, and the battery life seems good, but the connector wire in the gun keeps coming loose and I have to push it in as I slide the battery connector on or else it won't go in.
