Personally around here, you have Most of spring, all of summer, and some of the fall if you're lucky to be able to use our GBB's. Our gas pistols fire one maybe two rounds and thats it otherwise!

But the more I look at the RS SVD the more Im loving it! Wood and Steel! Cant go wrong with that! If I only knew a price....

That's where you're wrong :P

I've looked into this..

Shipping on it alone is over 150 bucks... Never mind the taxes and importation fees that you've gotta pay.

I'd love to bring these things in... but... It simply would not be profitable (In it's place I could bring in about 10 GBB's)

Bare minimum I could see a RS SVD selling for in Canada would be 1500.

And in steps my favorite rifle of all time:
Remington Model 700 XCR Tactical Long Range

Retails on average for $1500 CDN available in .223, .308, or the straightest flying .300 Mag!

Maybe I don't really follow you, but I don't see how grasping the rear sling swivel (as in, grasping the sling at the rear sling swivel point) would hurt when firing? Your shoulder takes up the recoil and your hand (relative to the rifle) doesn't wind up moving a whole lot.

Well I might not be describing it right....but it hurts after a string of shots. At least it did with a M700 .308 and .300 Win Mag setup. One or two shots in the field isn't so bad, but precision shooting that way sucks balls.
