I'd be surprised to see a finely tuned, highly upgraded sniper rifle being able to consistently and accurately hit a squirrel at even 175 feet, let along yards. A man-size target? Yeah, maybe. But a squirrel? Not a fucking chance. And a cheap AEG? Not a fucking chance.

Shows how much one can rely on web site reviews by owners.

He was picking off squirrels at 170 yards? That is complete and utter bullshit. When I was younger, we would hunt squirrels with a pellet gun. It would generally take 2 shots to the head to take out a squirrel with a .177 pellet in a 400 fps pellet gun at approxamitely 20 yds.

Oh right, the melded springs mod, I didn't think that too many people knew about it. It was actually supposed to be kept inside the bluenoise circle but I guess somehow it got out.

Whoops. I guess I shouldn't have said anything about bluenoise seeing as how it's a super secret tourney and invite only.

Hell, hitting a squirrel at 175 yards with a .22LR would be a very good shot,(talking accuracy here not range) with airsoft it just ain't gonna happen, that's just over 500 feet. Will an airsoft even go 500 feet?

As i understand it, retailers that sell to underage risk getting screwed over by the government including free room an board. Though the rule still stands about retailers selling to minors though ASC. While Canada is a big country it is a small community. Retailers risk killing the goose when selling the golden eggs to minors. Many people will remember certain retailers that have received unwanted attention from our government for not being the least bit choosy about who and where they sell. Most retailers in canada either get busted or get sick of the paper work. It's a short lived life and much less profitable if you have to be involved on the pointy end of the legal system. All you can really do is vote with your feet when you don't like the way a retailer behaves.

We need another layer of screening besides merely age.

Personally, if the person is clearly immature and incapable or demonstrating any will or ability to safely and responsibly handle an AEG (much less an actual firearm), I don't verify them.

Agreed. I don't do "drive by verifying". I usually meet people at a Tim Horton's and sit and talk with them for a good 1/2 hours to sort of "feel them out" to determine their purpose for wanting to get airsoft guns and how mature they are. I've submitted 100% of the folks I've met with so far, but if I get a bad feeling about the person and their maturity level, I definitely won't be verifying them either.

I'm at about 90%, myself. I try to take as long as possible to get the proper feel for someone before deciding to pass along their information.

It was like I was trying to say in another thread but was locked, that like the
age verified bar, noobs have to be forum approved to post through the forum.
Create a section in the pit, that noobs can only post in till they are forum
approved, proving they have done SOME research to ask proper questions
and don't allow flaming in that section. So we have the "forum approved" bar
and the "age verified" bar.Seems to simple to me

This has already been discussed before and the result was that the only purpose of the age verification system is to prove that a user is 18+, not to dictate who can and cannot obtain an airsoft gun.

Anyways, if a person is clearly immature and posts stupid threads, they will more than likely get banned anyways.

Hahaha...check post #32 of this thread for why people who post useless stuff (myself included at times) shouldn't be outright banned...

LOL. But it is a squirrel, and it has a gun too. This is the only reason I can
see for him shooting at the squirrel in the first place.
