But my point is im trying to keep this low cost. Im not looking for a Sniper that will perform out of the box, its a project. Besides, i cant justify a CA M24, when a Well, fully upgraded will shoot similar, just the CA will be cosmetically better looking, and a little better. If i ever feel that Sniping is definatley the way to go, I'd sell this, and get the CA, but for now, its just a fun project. Also, ive heard great things, and for 220$, you cant go wrong

I trust Modify parts way more than any other brand, I've bought and installed lots and nonehad the issues or headaches I've found with other brands.

Alright, well, Ive now found a CA M24 by surebet, that is damaged. Hopefully, when he PM\es me back the details, it'll be fixable by upgrading, if not i have access to a CNC, which probably could fix the problem, depending on what it is. Being "damaged" it is now in my price range, and again, hopefully it'll be fixable.
Would the same upgrades apply to the CA M24 than to the VSR? Or do i need different parts? |

Also, the M24 is extrememly rugged, you can knock it off trees, fall on it (do both too often), and it'll shrug it off without a problem (your scope on the other hand................). And the barrel/receiver is thick heavy pot metal, the stock is solid composite. Overall the entire rifle, with scope and bipod, weighs in around 13-14lbs. |

I bought my M24 in 2003, got it used and damaged for $500, came with a good Bushnell scope, shitty CA made bipod (Harris clone, made from the softest aluminum I've ever seen), had the CA full upgrade kti in it and it sucked ass, hard to cock and nasty trigger pull. Wasn't too hard to figure out how to make it shoot nicer, better, easier to cock, etc. and I added parts to it over a couple years and learned how it behaves. Seeing the BB come out of the barrel of a sniper rifle is a lot different than an AEG, the BB actually rises about a foot within about 50ft, flies flat for about 100ft, then drops off. Makes it easy to predict where the BB will land. And I'm talking about the way mine is set up, full hop up and using heavier BBs (currently the 0.36g Bastards, and as pointed out, I've been running 400fps w/0.20g BBs all year and love it, way better than any other velocities I've had it at in past years, including 430fps, 440fps, 470fps, 490fps, 515fps and once 587fps).

I hope you have access to Helicoils and various types of standard countersunk screws. One weakness of the CA M24 is it's ability to have the weak pot metal threads stripped out from over tightening the stock to the receiver. Since you have a CNC to access, I trust Helicoils will be easy enough, namely 10-32 type screws. Contact me for screws if you need to, I have access milspec aviation ones that I used in mine.

Actually, ive got another friend, through work can get pretty much ANY screw/bolt. So im pretty much good to go. I just need to get the actual gun, and steal the infamous CDN_stalker setup.
