If you have jamming problems...wait till you get to other internal problems like BURNED OUT WIRES....
Or maybe that's just an inherent G36 or V3 Gearbox series problem....

Wow $600 for an ares gun is crazy expensive.. i could of spent that money buying a brand new G&P M4..I guess this is what happens when you're inpatient and "have" to buy a gun right away because they are "super cool." If all the solutions posted here dont work, who knows how much more money you would need to invest to fix it..what a shame...

Golden ball BB's didnt work well for me except for when i used it in my M203 shells haha..
no jam there..

anyway, King Arms M4A1 so far have been great. awesome price. best bang for your buck especially for new players and tons of parts available easily replaced.

That's pretty shitty deal there about the M4, I bought an SRC AK Tac from XT and the thing completely fell apart in my hands basically. Wasn't even two months later that I was trading it away.

Anyways, the ones they have there are decent but a better place to buy would be Paintball paradise (who sell ICS, VFC, etc all full metal and top line) or on the classifieds as was explained a ton already. Even buying a cheap G&P M4 from Cabellas for like, $300 is a good idea, because then you have some money left-over to spend on upgrades and tacticool stuff for your rifle and kit.

You could always take your Ares to a gun doc in the city though. Also, what magazines were you using in XT? Because their mags are not the best.

Was using their mags, I was talking to the tech there and he replaced the O Rings and did something with the gear box... The part the pissed me off the most was that they said "we cant return it but you do have a 1 month warranty, but it would take 3 weeks to repair....

God i hate shit like that

I'm assuming the rifle came with a hi-cap of some sort? You should test that out and see if it still jams repeatedly while using it. Do you have your own BB's? Bastards are the best but, the ones they sell at XT aren't completely terrible.

The Tech replaced the hop up rubber not an oring and nothing was done to the gearbox, he also did this on his own time as he left the game WE were playing early to do it. I also watched him put over 6 full mags thru it with no hiccup whats so ever.

The three week wait is probably due to the fact that the techs are not full time (they do have day jobs) and that they usually have a good two weeks worth of repairs inline already.

The suggestion of going to paintball paradise is a laugh as you would receive no help with your gun once bought, they also seem to have limited to no knowledge of the product the sell (they are paintball and are knowledgeable in that field).

Agian this is my personal experience.

One of the reasons why places like XT have the "no return policy" is that some customers will take it home, run 100 mags through it, not do any maintenance on it, it breaks down and than they return it expecting a full refund, not implying that you would do that.
They don't build the guns there, they only repair them and repair them well. If there is an issue with the gun I suggest emailing Ares and telling them about it, they are the ones that built it. Can't return a vehicle after buying it right?
And considering from my experience, the techs they have are some of the best in the biz. They have done more than enough when it comes to dealing with any issues I have had with my aegs, including using their own time and their own parts from home.

Oh, I understand the wait. and i really do appreciate the time he took to do it. I'm not aiming at anyone directly. Just saying it sucks on my part. But that's life.

The techs there have been more than helpful.

I did go there today and it jammed again. This time they took the gearbox apart and replaced the rubber? not sure what that means.

Edit: I am sorry about sounding like an ass. Not trying to burn any bridges with anyone or XT. The techs are awesome. I'm more mad at myself for buying something so quickly.

I'm not saying he should go to Paintball Paradise because of the techs, they just sell pretty high end AEG's like XT does.

It's very unfortunate that there were problems with your first airsoft rifle, and i feel guilty since i'm the sales guy that pointed you towards that direction, I directed you into that direction based on my OWN opinion of ARES. New out of the box i have never had any problems of any jamming or internal problems with my own G36c made by ARES, but you can't expect that from all guns made today.

I bought a KWA MP7 and hell that thing wasn't great straight of the box either, I had feeding problems due to the mag not being lubricated enough and needed working in.

more or less i've had customers come from paintball paradise complaining about them saying that the people there don't know what they're talking about , and it probably goes vice versa. Like you said, you work in retail correct? its the same with any competitor company really, some people have preferences with other businesses, but what it comes down to is who you enjoy doing business with most.

Anyways I hope that the replaced hop up fixes your problems this time around and like i've said before, really sorry about the trouble!

Hey its no problem at all, I was debating on the two guns for awhile before I made my decision... I can not even remember why I took the current gun over the G36. But that's life.

Next gun will be a G36 for sure.
