I explicitly stated the retailers I found that sell the CA gun, were in the U.S.
Yes, I actually have been reading the posts. I have seen on the internet that TM makes all their guns about the same, as in reliably. I don't know anything about Classic Army guns, and thought it would be a good idea to get input from people with hands on experience. I'm sorry if I'm asking stupid questions, and I assure you that I'm reading about airsoft as much as I possibly can. But could we please try to get back on topic? |

And yes you are asking stupid questions that can be answer with a search from ANYWHERE. If you bother just searching Classic Army review, you'll find their guns are more than capable matching against TM. |

Sir, maybe you could try to look at this from my point of view. Yes, "CA" has been mentioned several times in this thread "alone". Yet tell me this, did anyone actually say they had owned one? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they did. Believe it or not, I have been searching. Enough to find this:
http://www.airsoftgunhelp.com/must-read-airsoft.htm Quote from the above link: "When buying an AEG (automatic electric gun), only buy Tokyo Marui guns!". I didn't even know what airsoft was (let alone what an AEG was) before last week. Yes, I've heard the term before, but didn't really know what it was! So you see, I am totally knew to this! Yes, some people said something like "stick with top manufacturers like TM or CA", but I believe more people said TM then CA. It's rather rude for you to come into this thread and start flaming me. If you have nothing better to do then flame new people in threads, and call them stupid (where ignorant would have been much more appropriate!), then I suggest you GET A LIFE! Everyone else on this forum has been very courteous and informative. And I want to thank everyone for helping new people like me. |

So in the link I posted above:
http://www.airsoftgunhelp.com/must-read-airsoft.htm The writer said to stay away from Classic Army guns. Is this just bias opinion? Has anyone here bought CA guns and been satisfied with them? If so, I'm guessing it would be better to have a metal gun than a plastic one |

it's all a matter of personal opinion really. a lot of people flame KJW GBBs but there are quite a few on the other side of the spectrum who swear by their guns. I myself have just gotten a used CA36K because it was built upon the Tokyo Marui version but improved on slightly.
No one here can tell you what the best gun is, because simply the best gun to them is what they own. You'll have to bite the bullet, buy one of the TOP BRAND guns and see how you like it. Airsoft guns are like cars, there's a lot of them to choose from. Just don't buy Daewoo. personally, my preference is either Tokyo Marui or Classic Army, but that's only because I've owned them in the past. My next gun in the future is going to be a G&G rifle, and I'll always buy KSC pistols. Go ahead and try the CA gun, you may like it, you may not. It's up to you.

Ok, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to get this gun: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=1781
As far as battery packs go, would any 8.4 volt battery work? Are some brands better than others? Thanks, Nathan-d |

good choice. i'd recommend a high Mah battery as it will last longer. If you can afford it, go with an 8.4V 3600Mah, but any 8.4V 1700Mah will do fine and last you quite a time.

I'm sorry wolfman, I feel your pain. I live in a rural area and high-speed Internet would cost me over $500 a month. It's too bad canada confiscates the airsoft guns, I'd ship a G3 to you if you wanted me too, but it'd probably just get confiscated
Please just ignore this link wolfman (sorry!): http://www.batteryspace.com/index.as...OD&ProdID=2905 It's a 4200mAh battery, but it's so cheap it seems like it must be a scam... |

There are airsoft BBs that are paintballs, they'd probably crap up your gun, but nevertheless exist. I'd ship for anybody that wanted me too, as long as it's not illigal on my end. You'd need to pay for the shipping though.
As far as batterys go, do the brands really matter? Or should I just get ahold of the cheapest ones I can find. |

So do I need to worry about certain brands of battery's? Are some brands cheaper than others because the quality is different, or just because of brand names?
Thanks, Nathan-d |

Get a battery made from matching Sanyo cells. All you need is 8.4 volts, and 2000mah. The more MAH the better, but no need to go overboard either.
Buy a Really Good battery charger. That is worth it's weight in gold. Last edited by Greylocks; October 17th, 2006 at 21:46.. Reason: typo |

yeah what greylocks said. i got a custom mini 8.4 volt, 2600mah for my ca36K and one of the smart chargers from bb bastards. airsoft is like cars, you buy cheap, you get cheap. save yourself money in the long run by buying the best first, instead of going through 10 crappy batteries before finally figuring out that you want good stuff. oh and don't buy a $10 charger, you're just asking for it then..
