Thata boy. The best wear is the wear that your AEG incurs normally.

Yessir.

On another note, I just really screwed up with my new paintjob on the AK. :S

Oh well, I can fix it.

Thing is (and some may disagree), the AK is supposed to be blued steel, and when it comes out of the factory it has quite a shiny finish. Thus, I decided to repaint it all to gloss black instead of the current flat black, which I did to match the receiver. The parts came out alright, but the receiver didn't. Will post pics once its done.

It will look better once it wears down the shine a bit.

Cheers,
Alex

Should do. Can't wait to see it. How solid is that beast anyway?

On a related note: I need another new hop-up. Yeah, that fucking Pro-Win piece of crap won't feed BBs. I have one more chance to tear it down now, tomorrow night. No new hop-up on hand. I can only hope to make that Pro-Win work. So, the BBs will travel into the feed chute just fine but won't feed into the inner barrel. What might be stopping them?

Heh, its pretty damn solid. You are also welcome to drive down here and "fondle" it

I still need to get a hopup set myself. I have my TM rubber back in there, and the Madbull X type nub, and no C clip since it flew away (yea, that was a pretty bad mistake). Now it jams. Every shot, it just stops in the hopup chamber, have to pull the mag and dryfire it, or take it apart.

I have no idea whats wrong with yours, perhaps the loading nozzle or tappet plate is at fault? Or perhaps you did some force fitting, and the hopup is at a slight angle, causing the loading nozzle to rub up inside it, slowing it down and not feeding? I ain't no expert...ain't Pro-Win supposed to be very decent?

Keep me updated! I'll take the stock TM rubber and nub if you still have it...

Thanks for the tips, I'll look into it. I did make a bit of a fuck-up when I installed it, hopefully it can be corrected. Hell, with enough dremeling anything can be 'fixed'! Right? *nervous*

I'll have a look-see for those hop-up parts for you. If I've got 'em I'll find a way down to Vaughan. Its only fair, since you came all the way up here.

Haha, yep dremeling should work. Seriously though, I would take an approach like that. Whachu got to loose?

Those hopup parts would be great. No need to drive to Vaughan, but you're welcome to drop them into a 51 cent envelope

Looking good, Alex. You need those last couple bits and it'll be perfect. I guess the one thing thats been overlooked so far is performance. Are you still after those hop-up pieces? I may have them for you.

Did I expect any less? Not at all. That thing is fucking gorgeous. It's funny how far a paintjob can take your gun. It's almost like getting your girl breast implants FFS.
