There is no bloody excuse for selling people a product of this calibre unless the person was made full aware of the exact condition of the guns (ie - photos). Some of the images posted here clearly showed with out a shadow of a doubt how terrible some of these guns where painted. I think if pictures of guns where shown to the purchasers prior to any money exchanging hands, Sam would most likely lost out on a couple sales. Someone making a mistake does not mean they are a horrible person, but I'm tired of everyone trying to cover up shit like it never happened ALL the time. You make a mistake, admit to it and move on. I'm sick of it. To reiterate, the thread is staying and so are all of the posts.

Info on MP5-J from BC-Airsoft Supply
I think he made somewhat of an effort, seeing how he has 4+ pictures on the info page about the gun. Of course, the paintjob on the pictures is nothing like what people have recieved... Has anyone bought this gun from A&A and had similar problems? Or did they leave it "normal"? |

I'm working on getting back to e-mails and such right now...if Quaff is not happy with the product/price/service/overall purchase, he has the absolute right to announce his feelings to a public board - especially the specific product review, etc.
Again, I'm just now catching back up to things...I'm 2500 miles West of home/office and net+phone access has been sketchy at best. This has been announced on our US and Canada sites, etc. Thanks guys and keep the straight up honest reports coming. And Quaff, I should be getting back to you soon. Thanks, Sam Burnette |

Hey Sam,
Just to clarify, I believe Quaff was just speculating on the topic. I was the one who had originally made a post about my disappointment about the product and posted up pictures. I've sent you an email in regards to the purchase and we can correspond privately in that manner. I'm sorry that this had to happen while you are away on holidays and I understand the fact that you have limited access to Internet/email/phone. So, in that case, I have no problems waiting for responses and I know that I will receive nothing but the finest customer service from you. Thank-you for looking into this.

I did not buy one Sam. I have been clearly misunderstood several times already.
I have only said two things that got blown way out of proportion by people obviously trying to be helpful to you, but only causing confusion. 1. I was disgusted by the looks of the guns as they were re-painted. That is simply my preference. No big deal. 2. Through various comments from people who were trying to defend you, it came out that these guns were painted red, then re-painted black to get the into the country. THIS WORRIES ME. This worries me because it sounds like a bit of a scam. All I am asking for is a quick explanation as to why that needed to be done. You dont need to go into depth, just something that tells me and anyone else who may be concerned that this was all done on the up and up. That's all. I had no intention of starting a fight. I had no intention of "damaging small business". Thanks Sam. Brian

I can assure you Sam would not be doing anything remotely related to any kind of scam. You are correct about the guns being painted red and their reason . I cannot speak on Sam's behalf soI suggest we just wait until he returns for the full explanation

Hey guys, a little while ago i bought a mp5-j off of sam too. the gun works great but i had the same paint problem. what he did was it used to be black but to ship it across the border he painted it red then when it got to the little store they have in BC they just painted it back to black...so what i did was i used paint thinner...and it looks alight but i still recommend sending an e-mail like me if you are dissatisfied.

Update: For those of you have found that your sliding stock no longer locks in place. Please refer to the review on AirsoftRetreatForums, it really works
Also, I stuck in a stock TM MP5 Inner Barrel, had to cut it down a bit to stick it in and the groupings have improved greatly from 8's to literally 3's. Now all I need to do is find a more powerful motor to speed up the ROF. If not a larger battery. |

I've given up on getting a hold of Sam.... So I've decided to disassemble the gun and prep for repaint. I'll probably have a nice freshly painted CYMA MP5-J in the "for sale" section soon.
Needless to say I am NOT impressed with BCAirsoft Supply

Ok so I've been working on repainting the gun for the last few days and I've managed to make it look somewhat better. $25 worth of paint supplies and over 15hours of prep and repaint over the last 2 days has resulted in this:
Top my CYMA, Bottom my TM: What it looked like when I got it: I think its a definate improvement, but I still think I should've never had to do this in the first place. I know its a little bit on the glossy side, but its the only paint I could find in my town.
