Well, if he needs a hand rebuilding the field elsewhere, I'm sure some of us wouldn't mind lending a hand building or raiding construction dumpsters. We should try to see this as an opportunity to play a part in a new field that's even more friendly towards airsofting needs.

Hopefully he finds a new location soon, so we can get everything started. Maybe a field with more emphasis on airsoft?

Finding a municipality or location

That will allow the business is the trick.

He got caught in an "official Plan" legal snarl. At least the counsel acknowledged the local value of the business enough to direct the planners to help him find a new location in the municipality. Also they are allowing a 1 year wind down and relocation plan... so clearly it is not the death knell for Flag Raiders.

That sucks.

Hopefully Joe will rise to this challenge and land on his feet.

I played my only 2 games there, but it was a great field.

You havent been to Wasaga have you? Its like 3 FlagRaiders; Im bored of FR but Wasaga is so big its not possible to play on every field in a day. Im not a fan of the tacky cowboy town or the tank field but it has a lot of other forest type fields and much better built structures. And it has running water and electricity! And indoor facilties! This makes a big difference during those cold, frozen rain winter days.

FR is a great field though as it is closer and its great for night games. And Joe does treat us slightly better than Wasaga. It also has the old field which is great when you get sick of the new field. I hope Joe uses this as an opportunity to make the new new field even better than before

Frankly relations with Wasaga on previous occasions were somewhat turbulent, and if I remember right there was talk of banning airsoft there years back, hence why I support Joe even more.
the talk about banning airsoft was because some irresponsible noob shot up some signs thinking that it was cool

When the hell have they ever had 60 employees at a game?!? I have been there dozens of times, for huge paintball scenario games as well. The funniest is the guy, (employee), who comes over to the fence after the game every time I have been there, and complains about how he has to do the shut down by himself, and hopes someone just once will help him do it.
