Honestly the kraken is good enough that it's not going to self-destruct as soon as you take it out of the box, every time some noob asks about the kraken, people jump in to say how it needs this and that and whatnot...the gun doesn't need it right away, the person is underaged therefore he will not be playing with it and only using it at home so THEREFORE he does not need to make the gun as reliable as someone who is actually attending games.
long story short, even though you are underaged and should not be having a gun, you are prolly going to get one anyway, get the Kraken as it is the best value without getting yourself too financially committed to a sport that you have no idea whether you will enjoy in the long run, and do not bother with any upgrades as they are not necessary at this point in time.

I would still say save up $120 and get the CAS version of the G&G M4. My kraken had worn down its plastic bushings to such an extent after about 4k BBs that the bushings wobbled like crazy in their sockets, the green grease had traveled to the trigger electrical contacts as well.

*smacks over the head* its not about FPS. if its FPS you want go buy a Crosman Pulse R76 with 375 FPS, it doesn't mean its good.
for example if you have a gun with high FPS but no hopup then the FPS may as well be 50. G&G is basically(ICS soon to change this) the only makers of Good Quality Clear Airsoft guns, these wont deteriorate in your hands quite as quick as some of the other guns that are out there now. |

so arr you saying the the g&g AK would shoot farther and more accurate than the kraken? G&g only shoots 300-330

better hop-up, tightbore on top-tech models, better nozzle, tappet, air seals, and spring guide, yes, accuracy is better

you can probably get BBs from the kraken to fly a few dozen feet further if you use arc trajectory, but that's completely irrelevant, the hopup matters more than fps

depends on how long the game is... and highly unlikely
