From the internal lower receiver, it looks like RS either gonna make new mags or use PTW mags.
EBB...that will mean more moving parts, hope RS will have a rugged system. The sector gear in the center of the gear box, and the teeth is not helical, kinda disapointed me there, the torque could be low. Then again, it's a prototype. I am getting the EBB one for sure.

I think that it might be a cross between a PTW and a spring bolt action. The gear would cycle the outside of a PTW cylinder into the buffer tube. It would snag a internal piston on a sear (inside the cylinder). Then the Cylinder would return to battery. The cylinder would look like a AR-15 bolt.
The problem with that would be small air volume, and you would a big ass motor and power source. I'm not sure if I made a decent description. I'm pretty sure they will have a working bolt stop. You can see the bolt stop in the lower receiver. It would be nice to see PTW design mags, but I'd end up getting the Real Sword mags anyway. I pretty much just ignored the magnetic part, unless you count the motor. The only way I could see using a magnetic force on the bolt would be a coil or rail gun like design. If their design is anything decent I'll end up buying one. |
