no cause it capable of shooting 700 fps but factory setting limits the gun at 450 fps using 134a

That gun are too powerful... The VFC recommend use ball bearing to shoot for accurate. That is what I hear from VFC distributor in US.

I'd game it.
We just need to know how quiet and acurate it is.

Yeah... using gas - wouldn't the FPS and accuracy be sort of wonky? I know even in summer as evening encroaches in Calgary it can get significantly cooler. Now, I have no personal experience firing my HiCapa out of doors, but I know the cool down effect it used to demonstrate using 134a was noteable. Assuming weather might bring the gas well inside a gun like this to a lowered temperature, would it not similarly have a noteable effect on the accuracy, range and even semi-ROF of this gun? Be kinda crappy for a sniper after spending so long to get your optics all sighted in. Would this firing system be reliably accurate?

With such a large resevoir, and semi auto sniping, I really can't imagine cooldown being a big issue.

Well, canadianairsoft.ca has a preorder for $1795. I've never dealt with them, and they arent listed on this site under "Canadian Retailers", so I dont know how good/reliable they are. But they say they're "in transit".
myself and my squad have had really good luck with these guys.. and one of those babies in transit will reside in my little armory for the long games

With that size of reservoir though, would it be recommendable to fill it all the way up? Certainly it would use more fuel per shot than a pistol, but a half a can of gas would take a long time to empty no? I'm just thinking in terms of leaving the tank with a partial fill... does it have a rubber valve like a mag that needs to maintain a specific pressure for optimum life, or is it more like an internal bottle that can sit full indefinately?

I'm starting to wonder if I might be interested in this thing. Its less expensive than the Systema Max I was hoping to locate. hmmm...

i trick i learned for mag seals (applies to all mags that hold green and especially for guys who use propane). if you find that your mags start to leak after a while it's probably because the seals in the mag have dried out some and shrunk just a bit. if you pick up some dow corning #55 o-ring lube and apply it to the o-ring or gasket giving you grief, then re-install the newly lubed (and swelled) part, it will work like a dream. works on bb shower grenades too. this way if you've been a little neglectful, the mag can become usable without havig to go and try to find replacement gaskets or o-rings. the #55 will run you about 25 or 30 bucks, but you could do a thousand gaskets or more, so definitely worth it. this is not new info, but just a re-hash to keep it on your minds.

btw, pirate. i'd get the m82. nothing says "i wanna be on his team" like holding an m82 at the staging area!!! too bad systema doesn't illicit that response.

lol @ mac, haha. Actually, I think you may also become a hunters prize with this in your hands and personally never having participated in an airsoft match, I'm not sure the pressure of walking into the field with this like I thought I knew something would be my bag. Just a nice.. .errm. perfect M4 would be the ticket ;0) oooooooooohh I have the bug now. See? I've already spent my next 2K on airsoft already, its just figuring out where. My friends spent 3 hours enjoying my HiCapa when I introduced them to airsofts. They would absolutely shit and piss themselves if that M82 was sitting there unexpectedly upon a future visit. I'm sure I could get the next few cases of beer paid for to cover the gas ;0) Justification!

if you've never played an airsoft game before and not known but the community, you'll not be allowed to play with that thing since its soo powerfull. You have to play and show to your community that you are a responsible and mature player to have such powerfull weapon. Just like my M24 that I suspect now of hitting nearly 600-625 fps. I am well know and an experianced player people with who I play dont mind cause they know how I play, altought they are worried about me getting the VFC Barret  too much range and power!

So once you set it back up to 700fps THEN you'll need a lisence and regy for it. Which is wouldnt get anyways cause I think Barrets are prohibited in Canada, plus you'd need to pin it at 10 rounds hahah. Anything over 500 needs to be registered. I dont know why people go around telling others on here their airsoft shoots over that. Yer M24 is an illegal firearm dude.

Only if it shoots 500 fps and 5.7 joules. It has to meet both requirments.

8mm .36g bb @ 585.5 fps = 5.7 joules of energy. any more fps than that = illegal. any fps below that = legal. from arnie's fps calculator.
