Special hop up chambers and materials that utilize static electricity to charge the BBs and a vest of material that has an opposing charge.
The result is smart homing BBs. And possibly modified PEQ boxes that emit a beam of ionizing radiation to help guide the BBs on target.

IR guided BBs. Except they'll be banned in ontario. Because lasers.

Going with your sig J_March, an M82 with a really heavy blowback unit and good internals would be a Barret that I'd actually buy. Run it on a big, inefficient remote line and kapow!
I'm all for impractical novelties when they're awesome impractical novelties. I'm also really, really hoping that companies start to do more with GBBRs. People want authenticity with a GBBR. I get it. But many more people (like myself) would really love to just have a non-armalite/ AK platform that goes "BUMF" or "PLOCK" or any sound other than "VVVIT" with a moving bolt behind it. Cut corners on R&D by making it an 80% M4 in an exotic shell, I don't care if it field strips correctly at this point. Just please, give me a G3SG1 in propane flavour. Daytona et al is close, but I'm not sold on it yet. Maybe I'm just ignorant? |

Problem is, even the G3 aeg is a fairly rare bird. I haven't even seen one in calgary yet, there were maybe 2 I saw often in winnipeg.

Did someone mention G3?
A G3 or PTR clone in GBB form is definitely a welcomed addition in my armoury, that and someone please start up production for a full metal G3 again... I'm surprised no one has done it yet... I mean the hype from fake WE G3 rumour is a good indication that people want it. That said, since this is an innovation thread... I'm looking forward to advances in GBB mag tech. Would be great if we can start advancing on HPA fillable mags instead of green gas or modded mags that can take CO2 from a bottle (Tho if it can take co2 out of a bottle from factory that'd be nice as well).

Higher pressure internal regulated nitrogen filled mags?
Do we trust the chinese to make tiny 4000psi pressure vessels in every mag? Can we even use nitrogen on GBBRs? |

Yeah, it's the building the fool-proof fill regulator thing problem which keeps that from happening.
Too much opportunity for catastrophic failure. I also don't know how strong your springs/ knockers would have to be to successfully strike the valve. Propane on a 31C+ day can already be pretty iffy. |

I don't think a 1940s battlefield rifle is going to be the next innovation.
Unless of course it launches my charged BBs.

Back when I had a WE PDW open bolt, thought the system was just freakin genius.
Except for the nozzle retention they put a pair of plastic tabs, which in the event of overpressure, allow the nozzle to slip past preventing the tabs or back of the nozzle from breaking. Issue is, when it's 28C out, overpressure blows the nozzle past the tabs and you have to take the gun apart to reset it. Couldn't even get it to not blow up after adjusting the NPAS all the way lol ALSO, on the subject of metal doped BBs: We could make airsoft gauss rifles! Or rail guns! |

Wonder how inefficient it would be to use a big ass solenoid to replace the piston body and gear train?
solenoid with a piston head. No return spring on it for maximum speed in both directions. Problem with the IR glow BBs isn't getting them to glow only in IR, it's the toxicity of the materials that do it. |

As long as it doesn't taste too bitter, what's another toxic chemical in my liver?
Let them hang around in a lead crate with some post-process uranium for a while till they hit like 5Sv/ bb and then get hammered after the game. Pee it all out and do it again. Just got to find a site that's already polluted and no problem. Edit: And Danke, the G3 is a 60s pinup, not 40s, unless you're bringing up their relation to the Stg. 45, in which case we're both nerds for bringing that up in public. Who's made a commercial brushless motor for airsoft guns? I know that you can do it for something like a P90 since it has the room for an ESC curcuit but if there's one for an M4 that's relatively easy to install I'd buy that right now.
