the reason those "paintball mindset " player are in airsoft is because of the replicas .
paintball has nothing on airsoft in terms of Replicating real world weapons. |

I wouldn't say the paintball market is entirely devoid of decent looking guns. They do have the rap4 line up and a few other smaller companies that make some decent quality items that do replicate some real world firearms rather closely. However you are correct, it doesn't hold a candle to the amount that airsoft has.

the rap4 line is the closest thing you can get but it still not perfect.
I actualy wouldn't mind using one to play paintball with, its as close as i can get to a replica with that sport. Paintball good for when you have friends that you'd have a hard time explaining airsoft to or it's to intense for them XD.

lmao, oh you guys.
On the topic of paintball and dirty things. I don't know how anyone enjoys looking like they just endured an alien jizz fest. Maybe that's just me, whatever. I do respect you have your sport and we have ours. I'll never forget, last year FR game some guy bitched at us how 'Ghey soft air' is :S I can't think of one game I was at, where an Airsofter out right bitched at a baller without reason.

There are alot of paintballers out here have have a mind set close to that of Airsoft, many many end up in paintball so they can include their son in the sport.
There is a huge movement of Paintballers using mags, and 50 roud load outs, CQB has become a huge part of paintball in the Toronto sence. We shoyldn't be to quick to lump all teh paintballers to together. a huge portion of them play like AIrsofters. Facts paintballs $39/2000 BB's $25/4000 It's not the cost There are few places that a guy can just go play airsoft for fun. So they end up in paintball. Thats a shame. I agree that True Airsoft milsim games should be for the die hard players. Should there be an entry level where peopel can just experiance games and equipment? I don't know |

Hehe, Greg I think you need to come out, check out some of the other events and players before you can say they have the same mindset.
There are totally games and events where a person can show up in very basic kit (Gun, hicap and goggles) and have at it, just for fun. Sure the camo is a nice touch and will probably help you in some cases, but if you're coming for fun or it's your first game, have at it with what you got. I've seen dudes who show up in Civvies, 1 gun, 1 hicap + boots and played all day just having fun. Shit my very first few games were like that and nobody complained.

Correct, but try buying paint at a field for that price, it's $10/100 so yes it IS the price
BB Bastards are $20/4000 not $25 and my own Sekito SIIS bb's are $15/4000

I've been to no events, My only exposure is to people (great guys) I have met and to what I have read on ASC.
Remeber that I'm New, and looking in from the outside like everyone does when they start. I think Airsofters and paintballers are very much alike. 85% of both are played at private places. most real paintballers shoot 500 balls an afternoon, same as airsofters. Most want to play war games just like airsofters. I think that in an online community the few voices out power the real voices. |

Something that most people don't know is that 85% of paintball is played "private". Most paintballers would shoot less the 1000 rounds in a full days play. and they pay $40/2000. Renters and people that play once a year might pay $10/100 but not offten any more Paintballers should not be judged by the 10% of them you have met at fields. 90% of the are playing tactical/ milsim games. Airsofters shouldn't be judged by the posts on the Forums. Yes we only sell Bioval, it's the responsible thing to do for the long term good of the sport, and for the long term good of the land our park is built on. We are learning...
