ive been a ptw owner for less then 2 years and i'm already close to 1k$ in motors with rewinds and spares....if i could buy a SINGLE motor that would last me 100k rounds for even 1k$ i would

I do like the heat sinks on the end bell, very nice touch.

And I agree with the $500 being just dandy.
When you look at it in retrospect, your stock motor goes down, and the downtime alone is going to be 4-8 weeks depending on circumstance. So you're most likely to buy a NEW motor while the old ones being rebuilt.
So around $200 to get that rebuilt, and $250 for a new motor, so there's $450 right there. And the new motor might be a 7511 and ready to fail at any second.
So despite the FCC motors so far being pretty darn good for track record at a very affordable price, a lot of us with PTWs wouldn't discount a $500 motor with a good warranty on it.

And speaking of motors, in high demand applications it's the same story with AEGs. Do you want to pay for a $30 motor every few months, or buy a lonex and risk it being a brush muncher, or just spend the $80 to get a Tienly/eagle force?

The Motor I was mentioning is a new type motor that require a new type of gear set and teh prototype manufacturing cost of over $500, the final cost could push it close or pass the $700/motor retail and I don't think there will be enough demand in the market to sustain such a project. The price of things are shocking I recently went in to my Bicycle shop to replace my disc brakes I was shocked to see a $12K Full suspension mountain bike I mean Holy shit $12K for a carbon bike? so who knows if the demand is there maybe Sailun will push teh Black motor project ahead....if teh demand and funding is available.

Brushless motor please.


On the flip side, If someone made a PTW motor at the 50-80 price point and I would be happy to rewire and work on the motor and/or throw them away once a year.

I'm into road bikes so I'm used to seeing $15,000-$25,000 bikes
I'm also used to PASSING said bikes on my "piece of crap" $2200 devinci podium lol

DTW/GTW and A&K motor are around that price point but I don't know how long or if they will work, so far I've seen 4 DOA and 2 litterally burn up after the rep plug in a Systema 14.8V

Hey I just noticed this, top right pic, they tried to cut that flat all at once and the part rose in the vice lol
There's something weird with the flat they used to hold that part to cut the top out too, I realize it's an unfinished part, I'll bet that one got rejected, never got finished and that's why it's a mid-production model lol

What material are they using to make the motor parts? 303 stainless?

FCC Advanced Motor System 3.0

Triple ball bearing with CNC machined A6063 T-6 bearing housing.
Re-designed core w/ stainless steel rotor shaft, balanced and trued.
Nickel plated steel one-piece magnet housing/frame, enhanced rigidity, making dis/re-assemble without specialized tools for maintenance. Minimal twisting under heavy load.
High graded neodymium magnets.
Lipo ready, 34000+ rpm.
Each motor come with individual serial number.

Really? They got that much chatter machining aluminum? Are they using fryer machines? lol
Anyway the end product looks pretty good!
What about bearings? ceramic?

no the ceramic ball bearing will put the cost higher one of the prototype has a ceramic ball bearing but in the end tehy decide to go against it this time.

full season season on a FCC 2.5, I have used it both DMR 445fps and support 404 fps, 11.1 20c lipo, runs great, only gets warm in sustained fire fights prolonged DMR trigger pulls. I change out my lipo long before it runs down, motor never skips a beat. best $180 I spent on the gun.
