M14 - Clone compatiblity questions

Ok.. here is the deal...

I want to build a M14 from upgrade parts but some of the little stuff is impossible to find. Most of the things are in or on the gearbox. Trigger, safety, selector switches, springs, etc.

I can get the stuff I need from ECHO 1 but I don't have confirmation that they would work on a true TM ver. 7 gearbox. I know the gears and whatnot in an ECHO1 are ver. 2/3 but I dont know if the other bits I need will fit on a TM ver. 7 gearbox.

Yes, I know that it would be so much easier to just buy a used TM M14 but for what I need, it would be a huge waste of cash. Ive also looked at the M14 manual and to get what I need from TM, Id have to buy the whole gearbox which is, again, a waste of cash.

I have been looking for awhile for this information but I just can't seem to find it. I'm gonna feel like a complete dolt if someone posts a link but I've given up trying to find it so your help would be appreciated. I give you permission to flame me if its here on ASC!

Has anyone compared these little parts?

Does anyone know 100% FOR SURE and BUY THEIR OWN EXPERIENCE that these things are compatible?

Has anyone tried to go this route? What were your experiences?

Thanks a bunch,

moto
