I go through the same manufacturer as Airsoft Surgeon - I have my own sample of this barrel in hand and have been testing it for the past couple of weeks. It works exactly as described. The design is almost exactly the same as the Tokyo Marui solution used in the Xtreme, except no spacer is used - it is a fixed one piece stainless steel setup.

The marketing claim of "increased accuracy due to lack of tilting" is a marketing bluff. The movement of the outer barrel does not affect accuracy, as the tilting portion of the blowback cycle does not occur until AFTER the projectile has already left the barrel. To ensure accuracy of an outer barrel, there are only two things to mind:

1) Fitment of inner barrel to outer barrel
2) Fitment of outer barrel to slide

If it is a 1911 style straight barrel setup, you will also need to factor in the barrel bushing, which adds 2 more points to be aware of.

The main difference between the "big box" Airsoft Surgeon product and mine is that I can get you any custom engraving you want on the chamber, as well as various finishes, such as standard machined finish, polished finish, or even gold oxide if you want it blinged out in any length you need, 3.9", 4.1", 4.3", 5.1", 6.0", 7.0", etc etc. I'm personally not fond of the "AIRSOFT SURGEON SUPER MATCH" markings used on the chamber, as I strive for realism.

In a custom setup, I can even have it converted in to a hybrid setup for you, Sight Tracker, or port it in various locations to match compensation ports along your matching custom slide (think: V10, V12 Vreaker, BCG Pro Sx "Poppleholes", etc.)

Configurations can be had in both straight barrel (1911 style) as well as bull barrel.

Price for the standard bull barrel with a standard marking (45 ACP or 38 SUPER) are same price as the Airsoft Surgeon version.

Just budgeting everything right now, will probably make this an August project. My chef is off for a month after Canada Day so I doubt I'd be able to do much right now plus I'm taking a week off in August anywho.

Thanks for all the responses, all very helpful.
